Defendant, Thomas Chantry, through counsel, moves for a new trial pursuant to

Ariz. R Crim. P. 24.1 and all other applicable law.

18 I. INTRODUCTION

19 On May 8, 2019, a jury returned a verdict of guilty on four felony charges. Prior

-
20 to trial, the Court held a hearing on April 19, 2019 at which time the Court denied
21
Defendant's motions to preclude certain witnesses--
22
23 and --who had no personal knowledge of the

24 alleged crimes and could only testify as to other act evidence (Ariz. R. Evid. 404). The
25 Court also denied Defendant's motion to preclude the State from using his aggravated
26
assault convictions as impeachment (Ariz. R. Evid. 609) ifhe chose to testify.
