Waste Production Impacts.
What are the major impacts of E-waste production? How is it impacting the world
and the health of people? How can we reduce waste in the world in general? Waste is a
growing issue that affects the planet’s atmosphere as well as the health of people and
animals. This paper will explain these things and how could we address this issue.
Addressing waste production is necessary to reduce waste in this day and age. Waste
production causes environmental issues and health issues. Most people don't think about
the waste they use; such as E-waste or food waste and the effects that it has on the world
and its inhabitants. This paper will discuss the effects of waste production and potential
solutions to the problem.
There are so many ways waste impacts our society and the world that hosts us.
There is a somewhat new concept called E-waste, or
electronic waste. This contains broken laptops, cell
phones, TVs, printers, etc. E-Waste contains toxic
chemicals that are emitted into the ground,
underground water, and even in our atmosphere.
E-waste is by no means safe for the environment. In a
legal place to dump E-waste items, high levels of toxins
have already been found in samples of soil and food
nearby. When the materials are burnt put off chemicals
that are toxic to the community.
Some of these toxins include mercury, lead, and copper. This

happens with other types of waste as well mainly including plastics. When waste is burnt it
puts off toxic chemicals into the air that contribute to pollution, and is harmful the people
and animals breathing it in . All these things contribute to the footprint we leave as a
society on the world. (Grossman 21-22, 53)

5,000 people die each day as a result of unclean drinking water around the world. Due to
waste sites the ground and underground water become toxic, and then make crops and soil
contaminated. Once our food has been tainted it then becomes unsafe to eat; reducing our
supplies of food. Another way is when the plastics and e-waste are burnt the air becomes
toxic and unsafe to breath filled with heavy metals. E-waste is also known for being
dangerous to our bodies such as radiation. The impact that waste has on people will soon
affect almost everyone in the world. (epa:

Some ways we can help our world and our health is by reusing the sources that we
have already produced such as the plastics, pags,
containers, bottles, etc. as well as composting. Stores
that refill bottles that have been previously bought
should also be more known as well as more of those
stores. Using alternate sources that are more natural
could be a way to go through life without using
plastics is a huge way to help our world. These could
be, using alternate sources such as fungi/ mushrooms,
hemp, and bamboo. Just by using those could help
create a newish way of shipping, packaging, mass

production, and storage. An obvious thing that one my not exactly hear or think about all
the time is jus buying less; using the things that one already has instead of getting
something new. One way is to limit oneself to see what the unnecessary costs are.
(this is the packaging made from mushrooms.)
All these things contribute to what we call waste. Little things start to pile up and
creates landfills our planet is going to parish as well as people, and animals if we don't
make changes. To do the little things recycle, compost and use alternate resources we can
help our planet by a lot. People can change the increasing rate of waste by the little things
one might pass up in a day. This knowledge is useful so our society will someday not be full
of waste.
