why I want to be a dentist?

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Muhammad Dandy

Athallah Wahyudi, chief of D class 2018 Dental Radiology. Ok, why I want
to be a dentist? Because I’ve got no choice and I just realize something
that I never knew before.

I tend to care about health and not like other boys who tend to
machinery, science, law, etc.

I prefer memorizing than counting, that’s why I choose to study at the

health and medical environment. At the beginning, I’ve got so many
choices beside medical faculty for example, pharmacy, science of
nutrition, and public health, but I never think to study at dentistry faculty,
I don’t know why.

At the final year of my senior high school, I started to prepare myself to

go through any college selection. I learned so hard because I want to
achieve my dream to study at medical faculty in my favorite university.
But, my worst nightmare has finally come true. I wasn’t accepted in any
university with any kind of test starting from SNMPTN to UM. I lost my
hope, because I got nothing.

Maybe you may asking, why not choosing any private university? One
word, expensive. I come from a very modest family and I know if choose
to study in medical faculty in private university, it will cause a trouble on
economic matter of my family. So I decide to be out of job for study in
alumnus class. But my parents prohibit me because It only waste my time
and there are no guarantee that I can achieve medical faculty in the next
year.

I’m getting worse off, and suddenly my dad told me to asked to my friend
who registered earlier, about Dentistry School in UPDM(B). it’s quite
cheap than other private university. at the end I asked anything about the
test and how to register, I joined the final phase of the test. The test is
quite easy and I can say it was easier than my teacher’s test.

I felt so confident and finally I passed the test. And then I think, is this
the right choice? Is this my fate?

Those questions were being answered as I study at dentistry school.

Become a dentist is same as become a doctor, the difference is only what
we learn. And become a dentist doesn’t mean we only can be a dentist,
there are so many organizations who need us. Be a dentist means we
should have skills of dentist art not only good memory. We are sued to
make a denture and braces which means we need various skills and
patience.

So, back to the topic, why I want to be a dentist? The answer is, this job
is as good as be a doctor and we can help people in oral and teeth
problem.
