Respected sir/madam,

With this letter, I am applying for a position in the Masters of economics policy program,
offered at [University of seigen, germany] and I am writing this letter to convince you to permit
me in this course at your institution. I am Farhan Javed, a recent graduate in business economics
from university of the Central Punjab Lahore, Pakistan and believe myself to be a very strong
candidate for your program.

During my studies, I took active part in volunteering at various social organizations as

well as hospitals. I did my internship in Care Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that is on
a mission to provide a quality and marketable education to all in curriculum department. I have
the honor of actively participating in preparation of curriculum structure for deprived children.
My university annual project on Islamic Banking introduced me to comparative economic
diversities worldwide. My experiences became more diversified after participating in various
kinds of trainings and workshops.

After graduation, I had a chance to travel to Egypt as part of an exchange program with
AISEC, an international organization known for developing the leadership potential of youth
through experiential learning, volunteer experiences and professional internships. In order to connect
with a global network of talent, I participated in a “Lead Green Project” that helped me
learn and manage green activities in Egypt for a few months. It allowed me a chance to grow
both professionally and personally by experiencing different intercultural viewpoints.
I believe that ever flourishing economy of Pakistan require students like me to contribute
their part to help Pakistan become leading economies of South Asia. As a result of induction and
stabilization of CPEC (China Pakistan Economic corridor), current swift economic growth in
Pakistan needs well educated and polished experts in the field of economy. Well, I consider
myself educated but to become sufficiently educated and cultured professional, I need to gain
knowledge from earnest institution like yours.

By studying in your august institution, I want to focus on how international economics

have grown over the years and learn pivotal economic factors that can help me serve my country as a
development economist. My vision is to become part of the process in improving Pakistan’s
economy under prevailing CPEC influence in whatever humble capacity that I could manage. I
believe studying at your prestigious institution will allow me a chance to both learn from a
foreign perspective in economics and afford me opportunities for personal growth by interacting
with new exciting cultures and students.

Additionally, since I have limited financial resources, the idea of free education in
Germany appeals to me both in terms of affording expenses as well as my persona preference
towards welfare economics in comparison with extreme capitalist economics. Perhaps, I dream
of sharing the effort of establishing similar approach of welfare education in Pakistan. Having
previously worked with children during my time at the Care Foundation and AISEC, it is one of
my greatest motivations.

I have taken this step to apply for your program with great zeal and zest. I hope you will
consider me as a suitable candidate. I assure you that if you select me for this program, I’ll try
my level best to accomplish your expectations and my motivations. If you require any further
information, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Farhan javed
