Seven Pounds

1. All of us know that we will end up to our death. Like Tim Thomas, he already knows
from the start that he will die. He was haunting by his conscience. But before he died,
he still made his life worth living even though his wife has already gone.
His wife died because of a car accident together with six people. And it is because of Tim
that’s why this car accident had happened. Tim blamed himself for what happened, so
he donated his seven organs as a way of giving back.
Tim looked for several people who is worthy or kind who deserve what may Tim would
give and donate to them. He also looks for ways how to help them even financially or
morally.
I could say that Tim is prepared, even ready towards his death. He never let his
conscience to drive him in negative ways. Instead, he used it in a way how he would
help people even his bad memories are bothering him. Maybe, in biblical wrote, it is a
sin to commit a suicide, but for Tim, he was just helping people because of losing his
wife life and the life of six other people. At least, in the end he still made his mistakes
correct.

2. At first, they were shock, don’t expect and they didn’t want why would Tim need to do
it. He will going to donate his organs to people who are not close to him or to those
people he don’t even know. He will going to sacrifice his life just for them. So Tim’s
brother and friends are not agree with this.
But then, they already understand why Tim would need to do it. Tim was haunting by
his conscience. It is hard for him to accept that seven people died, together with his
loving wife because of him. His brother and friends have nothing to do with it. They just
let and supported Tim for his wants.
So when the time comes that Tim would going to give his other organs, it is also the
time when Tim would going to lose his life. And it is hard on the part of his love ones of
course.
Tim’s brother and friends, together with Emily Posa, they were just reminded of how
good Tim was. The organs that was donated by Tim, and carried by other people, it will
going to remind them and one of the thing that will make them remember Tim. His
eyes, his heart that was transferred to Emily, all of this that was transferred to people
that was chosen by Tim.
It is really hard from the start, but reality says, we will all end up to our death.
