MARK: Hi, I’m Mark Randall and I’m speaking to you from
the City Museum. It’s the first day of an exhibition called A
history of mobile phones. At this exhibition you can see 400
different mobile phones from the last twenty-eight years. In
the exhibition there are mobile phones from 1987 to 2015.
It is amazing to see all the changes in mobile phones over
this period of time.
As you can probably hear, there are some students looking
round the exhibition right now. Hello, everyone!
These students are usually at school on a Monday morning.
Today they are having their science lesson at the museum.
And they’re really enjoying the exhibition.
Now, some information about the exhibition. It’s at the City
Museum now, all of July and until the twentieth of August.
Tickets to the exhibition cost £3.50 or £1.50 for students.
This really is a great trip out and it is really interesting for
anyone who loves their mobile phone. I think my favourite is
this mobile from 1987. It’s looks so big and …heavy! Wow,
I’m pleased that’s not my mobile phone! Anyway, that’s all
from the City Museum, back to you, Jacky, in the studio.
