Module 1 (SELF) – Teacher: A Person and Philosophy

As a teacher, one has strengths and weaknesses. Everyone has their own philosophy and style which makes
everyone unique. There are no perfect teachers. But as a teacher, one must possess true qualities of a teacher
which will help a lot in teaching and also in learning.

In this module, you will be able to identify your qualities as a teacher and your philosophy in teaching and learning.

Teachers Philosophy

Teachers have their own different potentials. Philosophy will guide you in teaching-learning. The following are the

Existentialism, it will reflect me as a future educator because i believe that the core of
education is must be the values.

Module 2: Daily Routines

“Routines are the backbone of daily classroom life. They facilitate teaching and learning. Routines don’t just make
your life easier, they save valuable classroom time. And what’s most important, efficient routines make it easier for
students to learn and achieve more.”

Teachers need to establish routines and procedures everyday to provide a holistic and wonderful approach in the
class as day goes by. Through routines, they condition and model the students what are the things that they do
throughout the day. It is also a part of classroom management and should be not neglected.

ACTIVITY:

Through your resource teacher, observe/ask the following routine activities in the class.

Module 3: Encountering Different Teachers

As you explore the learning in this subject, you may encounter different teachers with different perspectives
and ideals. Teachers are molded by experiences and time. You will learn through their wisdom and you may apply it
in your future career as a teacher.

In this module, you will meet different teachers according to their years of experience and gain new insights
on their lives.

When students understand the lesson and use it in practical situation, when the student

That there are other people learn from me other than our lesson but the values and to

Yes, of course, because I see my students strive hard and success in their choosing
career.

When I see student na successful sila when they cameback in school, and also whend
they go to my classroom to visit me, in sad is when i see my student stop in study.
c. What are your plans for the future as a professional teacher?
My plans in the future is to pursue my study to be a master holder.
d. Do you think you will retire as aprofessional teacher or look for other jobs? Why?
I will say that, maybe I will see myself that I will retire as a professional teacher.

May one time, when I organize a debate in gender issue (rights of Men and Women)
nagging magulo kasi may nag away na grupo.

Social transformation: transformation education, agent for social transformation

I plan on pursuing master degree and to become a principal sa mga urban areas sana to
help them to have a development.

Gardening, traveling and also teaching

When student comeback to you and they give respect and giving me thanks sa lahat ng
tulong at process noong sila ay estudyante mo lalong lalo na sa mga batang dati ay
walang wala, then yung saan ka man pumunta may student na nakakakilala sayo.
c. How long have you taught as a professional teacher?
1975 up to 2015
d. Would you consider teaching as greatest profession? Why?
Yes, teaching is the only profession that you can touch life and give you greatest
opportunity to change life.
