BAS in Organizational Management
With nine specializations, the Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational
Management at Eastern Florida State College is preparing students to enter the
workforce with the skills and knowledge necessary for management positions.
Designed with the working student in mind, classes are offered in flexible formats
including day, evening, online and hybrid. Most of these specializations also have the
option to complete the degree 100% online. Students can seek admission into one of
these exciting, financial aid-eligible programs year-round. The specializations you can
choose from are found between pages seven and 15.
Additionally, the SmartTrack MBA program gives highly motivated EFSC students in
organizational management the chance to take graduate-level course work while
still an undergraduate in a Bachelor’s Degree program. This allows participants the
opportunity to finish a Florida Tech Masters of Business Administration in less time
than a traditional program.

While enrolled in this specialization,
students will complete coursework
relating to current topics in health
information systems, decision making,
budgeting from a healthcare perspective
and implications of the Affordable Care
Act of 2010. This coursework gives
students the capability to enter the
workforce in leadership positions in a
variety of healthcare settings.

Public Safety
The Public Safety specialization prepares
students to effectively manage and lead
public safety agencies. Prime candidates
for the program include those with
prior experience in law enforcement,
corrections, fire science and emergency
medical services. It is designed to
enhance decision-making abilities in the
areas of management, public policy and
emergency planning.

Graduates of the Accounting specialization will learn the basics of accounting,
auditing, taxation and accounting systems. With this knowledge, students will
have the skills necessary to enter the workforce in accounting-related positions
in the public, private and non-profit sectors.

administration, this specialization
concentrates on issues and practices
in sports management including
aspects of marketing and finance.

Public Administration
Graduates of the Public Administration specialization will demonstrate mastery of public
policy formation, implementation, evaluation and analysis. With these skills, students will be
able to successfully complete the processes for urban and regional planning, public budgeting
and community development, among other important local, state and federal initiatives.

BAS in Computer Information Systems Technology
With five specializations, the Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Information
Systems Technology at Eastern Florida State College prepares students to enter the
workforce with the skills and knowledge necessary for the rapidly expanding IT industry.
Particularly relevant to the Space Coast, these exciting specializations can be found
between pages 17 and 21 and offer students the opportunity to gain the skills that will
make them competitive candidates for the area’s many tech firms.
Prior to admission or during the Bachelor program, all Computer Information Systems
Technology students must complete the following math and science requirements:

Designed to meet the rapidly expanding field of Cybersecurity, this
specialization gives graduates the opportunity to concentrate in one or more
specific aspects of technological safeguards including database security,
network security and application software.

With three specializations, the Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Health Sciences
at Eastern Florida State College prepares students for a wide variety of positions within
the healthcare industry. Additionally, our Biomedical Sciences specialization allows
students to focus their studies on one of several micro tracks that will help to prepare
them for advanced educational goals. The specializations you can choose from are
