Fire Alarm System Introduction:-

The purpose of the Intelligent Analogue Addressable Fire Alarm System is to detect fire at the
earliest practicable moment and give an alarm so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent
outbreak of fire. The system can also be used for alarming, evacuation of people, summoning the fire
fighting organization, triggering the extinguishing process etc.
Fire alarm system consists of following fire initiating devices:

1. Smoke Detector
2. Heat Detector
3. Control Modules
4. Monitor Modules
5. Manual pull station
6. Relay Module

Fire alarm system consists of following fire annunciating devices:

1. Hooter cum Strobe

2. Hooter

Public address system consists of following annunciating devices for broadcasting message once control
module of fire alarm system gets activated. (Fire control module will give 24 V signal to Public address
system)

1. Speaker

Following are the typical automatic functions will take place in case of Fire Alarm Condition:

FAS INTEGRATION LOGIC

For Office Area-

CAUSE:

1. Any one detector goes in alarm at office area

EFFECT:

 Fire Alarm Panel Internal Buzzer gets activated. At the same time address of the respective
device along with Tag number & location details will be displayed on the FAP LCD screen.

 On the FAS graphic PC, the respective device turns to flashing red from Green in normal
condition.

 If alarm is not acknowledged with in 120 seconds, hooter and hooter cum strobe of all Office area
& Server Room will be immediately activated.

 If alarm is not acknowledged with in 120 seconds, Public address system will start broadcasting
message once the control module will be activated.
(Fire control module will give 24 V signal to Public address system)

 Access Doors, turnstiles, & swing gates automatically get released except server room door.

 AHU should trip.

CAUSE:

1. Any two detectors go in alarm at office area or one MCP gets activated.

EFFECT:

 Fire Alarm Panel Internal Buzzer gets activated. At the same time address of the respective
device along with Tag number & location details will be displayed on the FAP LCD screen.

 On the FAS graphic PC, the respective device turns to flashing red from Green in normal
condition.

 Hooter and hooter cum strobe of All Office area & Server room immediately will be activated.

 Public address system will start broadcasting message once the control module will be activated.
(Fire control module will give 24 V signal to Public address system)

 All Access Doors, Access Doors, turnstiles, swing gates & server room door automatically get
released.

 AHU should trip.

For Server Area-

CAUSE:

1. Any one detector goes in alarm at server area.

EFFECT:

 Fire Alarm Panel Internal Buzzer gets activated. At the same time address of the respective
device along with Tag number & location details will be displayed on the FAP LCD screen.

 On the FAS graphic PC, the respective device turns to flashing red from Green in normal
condition.

 If alarm is not acknowledged within 120 seconds, hooter and hooter cum strobe of all Office area
& Server Room will be immediately activated.

 If alarm is not acknowledged within 120 seconds, Public address system will start broadcasting
message once the control module will be activated.
(Fire control module will give 24 V signal to Public address system)

EFFECT:

 Fire Alarm Panel Internal Buzzer gets activated. At the same time address of the respective
device along with Tag number & location details will be displayed on the FAP LCD screen.

 On the FAS graphics PC, the respective device turns to flashing red from Green in normal
condition.

 Hooter and hooter cum strobe of All Office area & Server room immediately will be activated.

 Public address system will start broadcasting message once the control module will be activated.
(Fire control module will give 24 V signal to Public address system)

 All (Office area & Server room) Access Doors, turnstiles, & swing gates automatically get
released.

 After delay of 120 seconds Fire alarm system will give 24V signal to Gas release system for
release the GAS.

 Fire alarm system will give 24V signal to discharge Signage at the time of gas discharging.

area

condition.

 Public address system will start broadcasting message once the control module will be activated.

 All (Office area & Server room) Access Doors, turnstiles, & swing gates automatically get
released.

 AHU should trip.
