SHUTDOWN/BLOWDOWN VALVE FUNCTION TEST (HALF YEARLY)

TASK FOR SHUTDOWN VALVE :


The following actions are to be completed:
Note: credit can be taken from recent successful operation
of this valve within the last 30 days. The event log
can be checked against recent events and closure times
can be taken from the log. If previous credit
cannot be found then a function test must be
performed.

Where credit cannot be taken from previous operation of valve


the following steps:
1. Notify operations personnel of work to be performed.
2. Complete required permits.
3. Complete facility required lockout/tag out procedures (as
applicable).
4. Perform partial closure test of the emergency shutdown
valve (carry out electrical, pneumatic, manual or
hydraulic actuation of valve).

Where possible, carry out full closure test. Record


valve closure time in CMMS and ensure it does not exceed
45 seconds unless otherwise noted in the design
specification.
5. Check the condition and perform a functional test of the
valve interlock arrangement, where applicable.
6. Re-open valve while confirming that the valves is free to
move and is suitable for further use.
7. Return valve to normal operating state. If possible,
perform function test the check valve.
8. Remove all isolations as applicable.
9. Clean-up worksite and dispose of any waste materials in
accordance with waste management procedures.
10. Analyze results, confirm that the minimum operational
standards have been achieved, and enter into CMMS.
11. Notify operations that the work is complete and return
equipment to normal operational state as per operation
personnel instructions

TASK FOR BLOWDOWN VALVE


Note: Credit can be taken from recent successful operation
of this valve providing evidence is available to prove
valve closure timing where appropriate.

If previous credit cannot be found then a function test must


be performed. The following actions are to be completed:
1. Notify operations personnel of work to be performed.
2. Complete required permits.
3. Complete facility required lockout/tag out procedures (as
applicable).
4. Observe that the loop is performing satisfactorily;
consult with the control room operator to determine if there
are any known problems with the loop.
5. Visually inspect process pipe work; flanges and manifolds
and ensure they are secure, undamaged and free of leaks.
6. Visually inspect instrument small-bore pipe work and
compression fittings for damage, leakage, corrosion, and
support and ensure correct installation of fittings.
Check there is no intermix of manufacturer's products.
7. Visually inspect all valve-associated instrumentation.
Such as valve position indicators, solenoids etc. For
security of mounting, damage, corrosion and deterioration.
8. Conduct full function test of the blow down valve
(perform valve). Where credit cannot be taken from previous
operation of valve then initiate stroke check of the
valve from the control room. Confirm that the valve is
free to move under normal operation and is suitable for
further use.
9. Confirm valve movement is smooth over full travel in both
the open and closed directions.
10. Check valve opening time is within limits.
11. Where appropriate confirm that all indications of valve
position are correctly working and the event has been
logged.
12. Check the condition and perform a functional test of the
valve interlock arrangement, where fitted.
13. Lubricate valve, gearbox and drive train, where fitted,
as required on completion of full function test in
accordance with OEMs guidelines.
14. If a second solenoid is fitted repeat function check and
record valve operating times.
15. Ensure subject equipment is returned to the appropriate
operational state.
16. Remove all isolations as applicable.
17. Clean-up worksite and dispose of any waste materials in
accordance with waste management procedures.
18. Analyze results, confirm that the minimum operational s
tandards have been achieved, and enter into CMMS.
19. Notify operations that the work is complete and return
equipment to normal operational state as per operation
personnel instructions.
DELUGE VALVE FUNCTION TEST DRY (HALF YEARLY)

THIS INSTRUMENT LOOP FORMS PART OF THE FIRE & GAS SAFETY
SYSTEM, REFER TO THE APPROPRIATE CAUSE & EFFECT DRAWINGS PRIOR
TO
INHIBITING ALL RELEVANT TRIPS.

CONFIRM THE CORRECT INHIBITS HAVE BEEN APPLIED PRIOR TO


COMMENCING WORK.

VISUALLY INSPECT ALL VALVE COMPONENTS FOR SECURITY OF


MOUNTING, CORROSION AND GENERAL DETERIORATION.

APPLY PRESERVATION TO EQUIPMENT AS APPROPRIATE

CLOSE ISOLATION VALVES UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM OF THE DELUGE


VALVE.

INITIATE DELUGE VALVE OPERATION FROM THE CONTROL ROOM.


CONFIRM INSTANTANEOUS OPERATION OF THE SOLENOID VALVE, AND
CONFIRM VALVE
MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL TRAVEL IN BOTH THE OPEN AND
CLOSED DIRECTIONS. ENSURE VALVE OPENING TIME IS WITHIN
ACCEPTABLE LIMITS.

REPEAT TEST BY INITIATING FROM LOCAL MANUAL RELEASE STATION.

ON COMPLETION OF MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES CHECK ALL PERSONAL


ISOLATIONS/ INHIBITS/ OVERRIDES HAVE BEEN REMOVED, ISOLATION
VALVES
RE-OPENED AND EQUIPMENT RETURNED TO OPERATIONAL STATUS.
FOAM DELUGE FUNCTION TEST DRY (HALF YEARLY)

THIS INSTRUMENT LOOP FORMS PART OF THE FIRE & GAS SAFETY
SYSTEM, REFER TO THE APPROPRIATE CAUSE & EFFECT DRAWINGS PRIOR
TO
INHIBITING ALL RELEVANT TRIPS.

BARRIER OFF THE AREA & MAKE TANNOY ANOUNCEMENT OF IMMINENT


TEST.

ISOLATE THE FOAM TANK FROM THE FIREWATER LINE AND FOAM
PROPORTIONER SO THAT FOAM IS NOT DRAWN INTO THE FIREWATER
LINE.

CLOSE ISOLATION VALVES UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM OF THE FOAM


DELUGE VALVE.

INITIATE DELUGE VALVE OPERATION FROM THE CONTROL ROOM.

CONFIRM INSTANTANEOUS OPERATION OF THE SOLENOID VALVE, AND


CONFIRM VALVE MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL TRAVEL. ENSURE
DELUGE VALVE
OPENING TIME IS WITHIN LIMITS.

CONFIRM THE PRESSURE INDICATION DOWNSTREAM OF PCV IS CORRECT.

ACCEPT ALARM AND RESET (CLOSE) THE DELUGE VALVE.

REPEAT TEST BY INITIATING FROM LOCAL MANUAL RELEASE STATION.

ON COMPLETION OF FUNCTION TEST, ENSURE EQUIPMENT INCLUDED


WITHIN TEST IS RESET TO ORIGINAL POSITION. CHECK ALARMS AND
ANNUNCIATIONS
ARE EXTINGUISHED.

ENSURE THAT ALL ISOLATION VALVES ARE RE-OPENED AND IN THEIR


CORRECT OPERATING POSITION.

REMOVE FIRE & GAS INHIBIT(S) THAT WERE INITIATED PRIOR TO


THIS TEST. CONFIRM CORRECT INHIBITS(S) ARE REMOVED.
DELUGE FUNCTION TEST WET (YEARLY)

THIS INSTRUMENT LOOP FORMS PART OF THE FIRE & GAS SAFETY

INSTALL APPROPRIATE TEST EQUIPMENT IN PLACE AT THE FURTHEST


NOZZLE TO MEASURE THE DELUGE FLOW RATE.

INITIATE DELUGE VALVE OPERATION FROM THE CONTROL ROOM.

CONFIRM INSTANTANEOUS OPERATION OF THE SOLENOID VALVE, AND


CONFIRM VALVE MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL TRAVEL. ENSURE
DELUGE VALVE
OPENING TIME IS WITHIN LIMITS.

CONFIRM THE PRESSURE INDICATION DOWNSTREAM OF DELUGE VALVE IS


CORRECT AND ALARM INITIATED FROM PRESSURE SWITCH.

CONFIRM THAT ALL NOZZLES ARE OPERATING CORRECTLY.

CHECK DISCHARGE PRESSURE SWITCH HAS OPERATED TO CONFIRM DELUGE


DISCHARGE.

CONFIRM THAT THE FLOW RATE/ PRESSURE IS CORRECT AT THE


FURTHEST NOZZLE.

ACCEPT ALARM AND RESET (CLOSE) THE DELUGE VALVE.

ON COMPLETION OF FUNCTION TEST, ENSURE EQUIPMENT INCLUDED


WITHIN TEST IS RESET TO ORIGINAL POSITION. CHECK ALARMS AND
ANNUNCIATIONS
ARE EXTINGUISHED.

ENSURE THAT ALL VALVES ARE IN THEIR CORRECT OPERATING


POSITION.
REMOVE ANY FIRE & GAS INHIBIT(S) THAT WERE INITIATED PRIOR
TO THIS TEST. CONFIRM CORRECT INHIBITS(S) ARE REMOVED.

OPENING TIME IS WITHIN ACCEPTABLE LIMITS.

CONFIRM THE PRESSURE INDICATION DOWNSTREAM OF DELUGE VALVE IS


CORRECT AND ALARM INITIATED FROM PRESSURE SWITCH.

CONFIRM THAT ALL NOZZLES ARE OPERATING CORRECTLY.

CHECK DISCHARGE PRESSURE SWITCH HAS OPERATED TO CONFIRM DELUGE


DISCHARGE.

CONFIRM THAT THE FLOW RATE/ PRESSURE IS CORRECT AT THE


FURTHEST NOZZLE.

CONFIRM VISUALLY ALL SPRAY NOZZZLES ARE DISCHARGING FOAM AND


CONFIRM AN EVEN SPRAY PATTERN OF FOAM AT AN ACCEPTABLE RATE TO
GIVE AN
EVENLY DISTRIBUTED FOAM BLANKET OVER THE PUMP.

WHEN SATISFIED THAT THE FOAM DELUGE IS FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY,


ACCEPT ALARM AND RESET (CLOSE) THE DELUGE VALVE.
ON COMPLETION OF FUNCTION TEST, ENSURE EQUIPMENT INCLUDED
WITHIN TEST IS RESET TO ORIGINAL POSITION. CHECK ALARMS AND
ANNUNCIATIONS
ARE EXTINGUISHED.

ENSURE THAT ALL VALVES ARE IN THEIR CORRECT OPERATING


POSITION.

REMOVE FIRE & GAS INHIBIT(S) THAT WERE INITIATED PRIOR TO


THIS TEST. CONFIRM CORRECT INHIBITS(S) ARE REMOVED.

CLEAN UP AREA WHERE FOAM WAS DISCHARGED.


ACTUATED ON/OFF VALVE FUNCTION TEST (2 YEARLY)

PRIOR TO CARRYING OUT ANY WORK, INFORM OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL


OF THE TASKS TO BE UNDERTAKEN AND ANY ASSOCIATED ALARM
ANNUNCIATIONS
THAT WILL OCCUR DURING THE TESTS.

VISUALLY INSPECT VALVE AND ALL ASSOCIATED INSTRUMENTATION.

CONFIRM THAT ALL VALVE POSITION INDICATORS/LIMIT SWITCHES ARE


WORKING CORRECTLY.

ON COMPLETION OF MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES CHECK ALL PERSONAL


ISOLATIONS/ INHIBITS/ OVERRIDES HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND
EQUIPMENT RETURNED
TO OPERATIONAL STATUS.
VALVE GREASING ROUTINE (HALF YEARLY)
THIS ROUTINE IS A PERIODIC LUBRICATION PROGRAM TO ENSURE THE
FUNCTIONALITY OF CRITICAL MANUAL VALVES TO ISOLATE THE PLANT
IN THE
EVENT OF A PLANNED SHUTDOWN.

PROCEDURE
(1) OBTAIN CRITICAL VALVE REGISTER AND/OR LIST OF ISOLATION
VALVES AS
DIRECTED BY OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT.
(2) LUBRICATE VALVES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANT LUBRICATION
SCHEDULE.
(3) IN CONJUNCTION WITH OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, OPERATE VALVES
OVER
FULL RANGE, ENSURING FULL CLOSURE.
(4) ANY REQUIREMENT FOR REMEDIAL ACTION SHOULD BE REFERRED TO
THE
MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR AND CARRIED OUT UNDER A CORRECTIVE WORK-
ORDER.
VALVE GREASING (YEARLY)

INSPECT, GREASE and EXCERSISE VALVES (IF POSSIBLE).

REPORT ANY VALVE FAILURES BY CREATING PM02 CORRECTIVE WORK


ORDER.
PM CONTROL VALVES CHECKS (HALF YEARLY)

CONTROL VALVES PM CHECKS FLANGES AND MANIFOLDS AND ENSURE THEY


ARE SECURELY FITTED, PROPERLY SUPPORTED, UNDAMAGED AND FREE OF
LEAKS.

VISUALLY INSPECT ANY INSTRUMENT SMALL-BORE PIPE WORK AND


COMPRESSION FITTINGS FOR DAMAGE, LEAKAGE, CORROSION, AND
SUPPORT AND ENSURE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF FITTINGS.

VISUALLY INSPECT ALL VALVE-ASSOCIATED INSTRUMENTATION. VERIFY


IDENTIFICATION AND FIXING OF TAG NUMBER.

VISUALLY INSPECT CONTROL VALVE AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR


DAMAGE, CORROSION AND CONTAMINATION.

CHECK VALVE, VALVE ACTUATOR AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR


SECURITY OF MOUNTINGS.

BLOW DOWN AIR SUPPLY FILTER/REGULATOR TO REMOVE BUILD UP OF


MOISTURE.

CHECK FOR PROCESS LEAKAGE FROM VALVE BODY, VALVE STEM AND PIPE
FLANGES.

CHECK THAT THE PRESSURE REGULATOR VALVE IS SET TO CORRECT


PRESSURE AND CONFIRM THE OUTLET PRESSURE CORRESPONDS
(TECHNICIAN TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATE MEANS OF VERIFICATION).
ADJUST REGULATOR UNTIL REQUIRED PRESSURE IS ACHIEVED.

CONNECT SMART POSITIONER TO THE LAPTOP FOR TAKING SIGNATURE


AND ANALYZE MOVEMENT OF THE CONTROL VALVE BY AMS SOFTWARE.

PERFORM CONTROL VALVE STROKE CHECK AS PER AMS SOFTWARE


DIRECTION. CONFIRM VALVE MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL LENGTH
OF TRAVEL IN THE OPEN AND CLOSED DIRECTIONS. CHECK VALVE
TRAVEL IS SAME AS VALVE DATA PLATE.

IF GENERAL CONDITION OF VALVE OR VALVE IS NOT FUNCTIONING


SATISFACTORILY, CARRY OUT AN OVERHAUL IN ACCORDANCE WITH
MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNCTION TEST VALVE ON
COMPLETION.
PM CONTROL VALVES CHECKS (HALF YEARLY)

VISUALLY INSPECT PROCESS PIPE WORK; FLANGES AND MANIFOLDS AND


ENSURE THEY ARE SECURELY FITTED, PROPERLY SUPPORTED, UNDAMAGED
AND FREE OF LEAKS.

VISUALLY INSPECT ANY INSTRUMENT SMALL-BORE PIPE WORK AND


COMPRESSION FITTINGS FOR DAMAGE, LEAKAGE, CORROSION, AND
SUPPORT AND ENSURE CORRECT INSTALLATION OF FITTINGS.

VISUALLY INSPECT ALL VALVE-ASSOCIATED INSTRUMENTATION. VERIFY


IDENTIFICATION AND FIXING OF TAG NUMBER.

VISUALLY INSPECT CONTROL VALVE AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR


DAMAGE, CORROSION AND CONTAMINATION.

CHECK VALVE, VALVE ACTUATOR AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR


SECURITY OF MOUNTINGS.

BLOW DOWN AIR SUPPLY FILTER/REGULATOR TO REMOVE BUILD UP OF


MOISTURE.

CHECK FOR PROCESS LEAKAGE FROM VALVE BODY, VALVE STEM AND PIPE
FLANGES.

CHECK THAT THE PRESSURE REGULATOR VALVE IS SET TO CORRECT


PRESSURE AND CONFIRM THE OUTLET PRESSURE CORRESPONDS
(TECHNICIAN TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATE MEANS OF VERIFICATION).
ADJUST REGULATOR UNTIL REQUIRED PRESSURE IS ACHIEVED.

CONNECT SMART POSITIONER TO THE LAPTOP FOR TAKING SIGNATURE


AND ANALYZE MOVEMENT OF THE CONTROL VALVE BY AMS SOFTWARE.

PERFORM CONTROL VALVE STROKE CHECK AS PER AMS SOFTWARE


DIRECTION. CONFIRM VALVE MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL LENGTH
OF TRAVEL IN THE OPEN AND CLOSED DIRECTIONS. CHECK VALVE
TRAVEL IS SAME AS VALVE DATA PLATE.

IF GENERAL CONDITION OF VALVE OR VALVE IS NOT FUNCTIONING


SATISFACTORILY, CARRY OUT AN OVERHAUL IN ACCORDANCE WITH
MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNCTION TEST VALVE ON
COMPLETION.
TIMED SWITCHING VALVE TESTS (HALF YEARLY)

CONSULT WITH THE CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR TO DETERMINE IF THERE


ARE ANY
KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH THE TIMED SWITCHING VALVE LOOPS.

VISUALLY INSPECT PROCESS PIPE WORK; FLANGES AND MANIFOLDS AND


ENSURE

OF
MANUFACTURER#S PRODUCTS.

VISUALLY INSPECT ALL VALVE-ASSOCIATED INSTRUMENTATION. SUCH AS


VALVE
POSITION INDICATORS, SOLENOIDS, LIMIT WITCHES ETC. FOR
SECURITY OF
MOUNTING, DAMAGE, CORROSION AND DETERIORATION.

APPLY PRESERVATION TO EQUIPMENT AS APPROPRIATE.

NOTE: IF INSTRUMENT PIPE WORK IS TO BE DISCONNECTED, ENSURE


THE
APPROPRIATE ISOLATIONS ARE APPLIED, PRIOR TO DISCONNECTION.

CREDIT CAN BE TAKEN FROM RECENT SUCCESSFUL OPERATION OF


SEQUENCING
LOGIC DURING NORMAL OPERATIONS FOR ALL VALVES WITHIN THE LAST
6
MONTHS AND THE NEXT TEST INTERVAL EXTENDED ACCORDINGLY.

WHERE CREDIT CANNOT BE TAKEN FROM PREVIOUS OPERATION OF


SEQUENCING
LOGIC, IF FACILITY EXISTS, PERFORM A SELF TEST OF LOGIC.
PERFORM STROKE CHECK OF EACH VALVE VIA THE SEQUENCING LOGIC.
CONFIRM
EACH VALVES MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL TRAVEL IN BOTH THE
OPEN AND
CLOSED DIRECTIONS.

CONFIRM THAT ALL INDICATIONS (E.G. CONTROL AND SEQUENCING


LOGIC) OF
VALVE POSITIONS ARE FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY.
SHUTDOWN/BLOWDOWN VALVE FUNCTION CHECK (HALF YEARLY)

OBSERVE THAT THE LOOP IS PERFORMING SATISFACTORILY; CONSULT


WITH THE CONTROL ROOM OPERATOR TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE ANY
KNOWN
PROBLEMS WITH THE LOOP.

VISUALLY INSPECT PROCESS PIPE WORK; FLANGES AND MANIFOLDS AND


ENSURE THEY ARE SECURE, UNDAMAGED AND FREE OF LEAKS.

VISUALLY INSPECT INSTRUMENT SMALL-BORE PIPE WORK AND


COMPRESSION FITTINGS FOR DAMAGE, LEAKAGE, CORROSION, AND
SUPPORT AND ENSURE

APPLY PRESERVATION TO EQUIPMENT AS APPROPRIATE.

THE APPROPRIATE ISOLATIONS ARE APPLIED, PRIOR TO
DISCONNECTION.

VALVE WITHIN THE LAST 6 MONTHS AND THE NEXT TEST INTERVAL

ACCORDINGLY. THE EVENT LOG CAN BE CHECKED AGAINST RECENT
EVENTS AND CLOSURE TIMES CAN BE TAKEN FROM THE LOG. IF
PREVIOUS CREDIT
CANNOT BE FOUND THEN A FUNCTION TEST MUST BE PERFORMED.

WHERE CREDIT CANNOT BE TAKEN FROM PREVIOUS OPERATION OF VALVE


THEN PERFORM STROKE CHECK OF THE VALVE FROM THE CONTROL ROOM.
CONFIRM
VALVE MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL TRAVEL IN BOTH THE OPEN AND
CLOSED DIRECTIONS. CHECK VALVE OPERATING TIME IS WITHIN
LIMITS.

CONFIRM THAT ALL INDICATIONS (E.G. ICSS AND CONTROL OR MATRIX


PANELS) OF VALVE POSITION ARE CORRECTLY WORKING AND THE EVENT
HAS BEEN
LOGGED.

IF TWO SOLENOIDS ARE FITTED REPEAT FUNCTION CHECK VIA SECOND


SOLENOID.
MANUAL VALVE WITH LIMIT SWITCHES FUNCTION TEST (2 YEARLY)

PRIOR TO CARRYING OUT ANY WORK, INFORM OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL


OF THE
TASKS TO BE UNDERTAKEN AND ANY ASSOCIATED ALARM ANNUNCIATIONS
THAT
WILL OCCUR DURING THE TESTS.

VISUALLY INSPECT VALVE AND ALL ASSOCIATED INSTRUMENTATION


FOR SECURITY OF MOUNTING, DAMAGE, CORROSION AND DETERIORATION.

APPLY PRESERVATION TO EQUIPMENT AS APPROPRIATE.

MANUALLY OPERATE VALVE AND CONFIRM THAT ALL VALVE POSITION


INDICATORS/LIMIT SWITCHES ARE WORKING CORRECTLY AND THAT ANY
CONTROL
LOGIC ASSOCIATED WITH THE VALVE POSITION FUNCTIONS CORRECTLY.

ON COMPLETION OF MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES CHECK ALL PERSONAL


ISOLATIONS/ INHIBITS/ OVERRIDES HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND
EQUIPMENT
RETURNED TO OPERATIONAL STATUS.
PM LUBRICATE SALES GAS METERING VALVE(YEARLY)
VALVE CLEANING PROCEDURE.
1. Inspect valve fitting at stem and body.
2. Ensure the grease gun or pump is in working order and
loaded
with the appropriate product.
3. Inject flush full seat capacity into each seat, utilizing
the
seat injection ports.
4. Opearate the valve three times safely.
5. Inject cleaner/flush seat capacity into each seat,
utilizing
seat injection ports.
6. Allow valve to soak for 1-6 hours to allow cleaner to
penetrate the buil up and contaminantes.
7. Inject flush full seat capacity into each seat, utilizing
seat injection ports.
8. Operate the valve three times.
9. Block and bleed valve to test the valve. If the valve will
not bleed down, follow the sealant injection procedure.
GEAR VALVE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE
1. Inspect housing for wear and damage
2. INspect weather seal adn replace if damage. This will
prevent
water from entering the gearbox and causing corrosion.
3. Lubricate gear using approved lubricant.
PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE FUNCTION TEST (HALF YEARLY)

1. VISUALLY INSPECT CONTROL VALVE AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR


DAMAGE,CORROSION AND CONTAMINATION.

2. CHECK VALVE, VALVE ACTUATOR AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT FOR


SECURITY OF MOUNTINGS.

3. CHECK INSTRUMENT PIPEWORK IS SECURELY FITTED AND PROPERLY


SUPPORTED.

4. BLOW DOWN AIR SUPPLY FILTER/REGULATOR TO REMOVE BUILD UP OF


MOISTURE.

5. CHECK FOR PROCESS LEAKAGE FROM VALVE BODY, VALVE STEM AND
PIPE FLANGES.

6. PERFORM STROKE CHECK OF THE PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE. CONFIRM


VALVE MOVEMENT IS SMOOTH OVER FULL LENGTH OF TRAVEL IN THE
OPEN AND CLOSED DIRECTIONS. CHECK VALVE TRAVEL IS SAME AS
VALVE DATA PLATE.

7. CONFIRM VALVE POSITION CORRESPONDS TO CONTROL SIGNAL VALUE.

8. REPORT ALL ANOMALIES TO THE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR AND/OR


PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT.

9. IF GENERAL CONDITION OF VALVE OR VALVE IS NOT FUNCTIONING


SATISFACTORILY, CARRY OUT CALIBRATION AND/OR AN OVERHAUL IN
ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNCTION
TEST VALVE ON COMPLETION.

10. SHOULD THERE BE CORRECTIVE WORK IDENTIFIED, A FOLLOW UP


WORK
ORDER SHOULD BE RAISED TO CREDIT SUCH WORK.
