In this first angel's message, we are called upon to worship our Creator
who also formed this earth. There are other Bible texts which call for
us to do the same, Jeremiah 10:11,12; Psalms 95:3-6, Revelation 4:10-
11, and most importantly Exodus 20:8-11 "Remember the Sabbath day,
to keep it holy. . . For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the
sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the
Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it." In this message of
judgment, we are called upon to worship the Creator, who also created
the Sabbath day. Note how the Sabbath has a part in salvation,
"Moreover also I gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between Me
and the, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them"

Rome claims to be the mother of all the churches. At the entrance of St. John Lateran
Cathedral in Rome there is a huge Latin inscription Sacrosancta Lateranensis ecclesia
omnium urbis et orbis ecclesiarum mater et caput, which translated into English
reads,
Revelation 13:3 ….and all the world wondered after the beast.
Through the two great errors, the immortality of the
soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the
people under his deceptions. While the former lays
the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a
bond of sympathy with Rome. {GC 588.1}
….Ye shall be as gods….
"Ye shall be as gods," he
[Satan] declares, "knowing
good and evil." Genesis 3:5.
SPIRITUALISM TEACHES
"that man is the creature of
PROGRESSION; that it is his
destiny from his birth to
progress, even to eternity,
toward the Godhead." And
again: "EACH MIND WILL
JUDGE IT SELF AND NOT
ANOTHER." "THE
JUDGMENT WILL BE RIGHT,
BECAUSE IT IS THE
JUDGMENT OF SELF. {GC
554.1}
IF THERE WERE NO OTHER
EVIDENCE OF THE REAL
CHARACTER OF SPIRITUALISM, IT
SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR THE
CHRISTIAN THAT THE SPIRITS MAKE
NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
RIGHTEOUSNESS AND SIN...Satan
says to the world: "NO MATTER HOW
WICKED YOU ARE; NO MATTER
WHETHER YOU BELIEVE OR
DISBELIEVE GOD AND THE BIBLE.
LIVE AS YOU PLEASE; HEAVEN IS
YOUR HOME." The spiritualist teachers
virtually declare:“ Everyone that doeth
evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and
He delighteth in them; or, Where is the
God of judgment?" Malachi 2:17. {GC
556.3}
Thus, in place of the righteousness and
perfection of the infinite God, the true
object of adoration; in place of the perfect
righteousness of His law, the true
standard of human attainment, SATAN
HAS SUBSTITUTED THE SINFUL,
ERRING NATURE OF MAN HIMSELF AS
THE ONLY OBJECT OF ADORATION,
THE ONLY RULE OF JUDGMENT, OR
STANDARD OF CHARACTER. THIS IS
PROGRESS, NOT UPWARD, BUT
DOWNWARD. {GC 554.2}
While it [spiritualism] formerly denounced Christ and the Bible,
IT NOW PROFESSES TO ACCEPT BOTH. BUT THE BIBLE
IS INTERPRETED IN A MANNER THAT IS PLEASING TO
THE UNRENEWED HEART, WHILE ITS SOLEMN AND VITAL
TRUTHS ARE MADE OF NO EFFECT. LOVE IS DWELT
UPON AS THE CHIEF ATTRIBUTE OF GOD, BUT IT IS
DEGRADED TO A WEAK SENTIMENTALISM, MAKING
LITTLE DISTINCTION BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL. GOD'S
JUSTICE, HIS DENUNCIATIONS OF SIN, THE
REQUIREMENTS OF HIS HOLY LAW, ARE ALL KEPT OUT
OF SIGHT. The people are taught to REGARD THE
DECALOGUE AS A DEAD LETTER. PLEASING,
BEWITCHING FABLES CAPTIVATE THE SENSES AND
LEAD MEN TO REJECT THE BIBLE AS THE FOUNDATION
OF THEIR FAITH. CHRIST IS AS VERILY DENIED AS
BEFORE; BUT SATAN HAS SO BLINDED THE EYES OF THE
PEOPLE THAT THE DECEPTION IS NOT DISCERNED. {GC
558.1}
The man who thinks he can be a Protestant and
yet reject the Bible or some portion of it, is
making a profound mistake…true Protestantism
cannot only be anti-Catholic…it must also be anti-
modernist, anti-evolutionist, and against every
evil that is sapping the life of the Christian
churches of today. At the same time it must be in
favor of every good thing—prayer, Bible study,
and all that is meant by Christian service. That is
the Protestantism that is so sorely needed.iiPhilipp

The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council
The "Instructions on Music in the Liturgy" section of the Vatican II document says
this:
"...the unity of hearts is more profoundly achieved by the union of voices, minds are
more easily raised to heavenly things by the beauty of sacred rites...In order that the
faithful may ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE more willingly and with greater benefit, it is
fitting that THE FORMAT OF CELEBRATION and the degree of participation in it
should be varied as much as possible, according to the solemnity of the day and the
nature of the congregation present...The participation (a) Should be above all
internal (b) Must be, on the other hand, EXTERNAL also, that is, such as to show the
internal participation by GESTURES and BODILY attitudes, by acclamations, responses
and singing."

The Vatican II Council issued recommendations on liturgy— the
singing, prayers, congregational responses, and Scripture readings that
make up a church service. These directives discussed ways to
incorporate the whole church community in the service, making them
more involved in worship procedures.

concept. Every function of the church becomes a celebration.
3. Set forth song and musical celebration services as the most effective celebrations.

Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the
Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day,
the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. "The Day
of the Lord" (dies Dominica) was chosen, not from any
directions noted in the Scriptures, but from the Church's
sense of its own power. The day of resurrection, the day of
Pentecost, fifty days later, came on the first day of the week.
So this would be the new Sabbath. People who think that the
Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically
become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy.

trees, till we have the servants of our God in their
foreheads.
