Greetings from PEAC!

The Private Education Assistance Committee, in coordination with the Department of
Education, will conduct the 2019 Summer In-Service Training (INSET) Program for Senior
High School Teachers from April 12 to June 23, 2019.

This year’s training program focuses on the role of SHS core subjects in the learners’
preparation for the four (4) exits of the K to 12 Curriculum.

It aims to coach the SHS teachers in teaching effectively their subjects by :
• comprehending the importance of an Aligned Classroom Instruction Delivery (ACID)
plan in teaching a subject that ensures preparation of learners for the four (4) exits of
the K to 12 curriculum; and
• articulating an instructional process in teaching the contents of a subject that ensures
the alignment of both teacher and learner activities (reflected in the Classroom
Instruction Delivery Alignment Map and Teaching Guide), and the development of
learners’ 21st century skills necessary for the four (4) exits of the K to 12 curriculum

We are offering this training program in the following SHS core subjects:
1. English (Oral Communication; Reading and Writing)
2. Filipino (Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang Pilipino; Pagbasa at
Pagsusuri ng Iba’t ibang Teksto Tungo sa Pananaliksik)
3. Earth and Life Science
4. Physical Science
5. 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World
6. General Mathematics
7. Statistics and Probability
8. Media and Information Literacy
9. Understanding Culture, Society and Politics
10. Personal Development
11. Introduction to Philosophy of the Human Person
12. Physical Education and Health

We are pleased to inform you that PEAC is an accredited Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) Provider by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Participants of the INSET conducted by PEAC shall earn credit units required for the renewal
of licenses of professional teachers. In 2017 and 2018 Summer, PRC approved 15 and 21 CPD
credit units respectively for the INSET for SHS teachers.

We would like to invite your Senior High School teachers to the training in various venues in
the country. It is a MUST that they attend the full three-day training to earn the complete
CPD credit units given to the program.

The schedule is as follows:
Day 1 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day 2 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day 3 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Participants are advised to bring a laptop, extension cord and reference materials for
the workshop.

All those who are interested to attend the seminar–workshop for Senior High School
teachers must register online at peac.org.ph starting February 18, 2019. The registration
fee covers three meals (lunch), six snacks, and a seminar kit with handouts.

Walk-in registration and on-site payment are strongly discouraged. The PEAC
reserves the right to decline walk-in participants in view of the capacity of the venue
and logistical requirements of the training. Slots are reserved to participants who
registered online and paid before the cut-off date.

Attached to this letter is the schedule of the training in 13 venues nationwide. Online
registration for each venue will close on the specified date or when slots have been filled.
