20. For surge control, 6th and 11th stage has air bleed line.
21. Seal air for bearing is extracted from 6th stage of compressor. Seal air is provided for No. 1 (Exhaust
side) and No. 2 (Compressor side bearing).
22. Cooling air for turbine rotor:
 Direct discharge is used for Row#1 vane for cooling.
 Compressor bleed form HP, IP and LP section are used to provide cooling air for turbine blade
ring cavity of turbine row 2, 3, 4 respectively. This will cool stage 2, 3, 4 vane segments and ring
segments.

 Bearing No#1: Turbine side bearing is two pad journal bearing. Journal Clearance (Diametrical)
is 1.30 mm to 1.73 mm
 Bearing No#2: Compressor side bearing is two pad journal bearing housed in inlet casing. Both
ends have floating type oil seal. Two babbited pads are supported by hardened spherical pin. A
stop pin is for stopping the rotation of the bearing.

 Thrust Bearing (Bearing No# 3): The principle parts of the trust bearing are the rotating collar,
the thrust shoes, the oil spray nozzles and the load equalizing mountings. The load equalizing
mountings consist of interlocking equalizing lever. Thrust Clearance is 0.70 mm to 0.82 mm.
