FAQ’s (frequently asked questions)

This will handle most off the questions asked with your H9. It will be updated from time to time.
Remember all answers or suggestion must be handled with care and all actions are at own risk and are
only provided by volunteers to support this group.

SD-cards related

Q1: My camera does not show 1080p60, 4k10/15 or 2.7k15/24. It is grey while other options are white. I
can not select it

A1: Your SD-card is to slow or fake. You need at least a real class10 speed SD-Card. (check your SD-card if it
is fake or not)

No problems Faulty or fake SD-card

Q2: My video overwrite older videos, I am using a 64GB card,

A2: Make sure your sd-card is formatted as FAT32 !!! (exfat will not work properly. (how to format 64GB as
fat32)

Q3: I can only record 10minute videos Why I can only record 10minute videos.

A3: There are 3 reasons, most used is that the fat32 only supports files up to 4GB that is why it cuts the
video in parts of 10minutes. 2nd reason is to prevent overheating for to long videos and 3 rd reason is tax
related devices which record videos of 10minute or shorter are for import in a different tax group. So don’t
worry nothing wrong and a lot of cameras only can record max. 10minutes clips.

Camera related (firmware issues)

Q1: I have updated the firmware and now I have a white screen.

A1: Depending of your original firmware and which you tried to update it to, you can undo this with or the
white screen solver or with fi. The 151204 firmware (solution depends on firmware you had or tried to
update to)
Q2: My camera does not power on any more, has black screen or only blue light.

A2: Please download the manual My camera does not respond , black screen or blue light.pdf and follow the steps
carefully.

Q3: I am getting a message WIFI NG my wifi does not work.

A3: Just use another suitable firmware or restore your camera.

Camera related (other)

Q1: My battery life is very short only 20 minutes, 30minutes

A1: Correct this is a battery issue, just buy a genuine SJCAM battery and it will be better. The H9 is not
know for good battery life

Q2: I am having strange stripes on my screen and/or videos.

A2: Your camera is faulty/defect. We suggest you contact your seller for a replacement.

Q3: The sides of my video are blurry and not sharp.

A3: This means your lens is not focused very well. You can contact your seller and he will probably offer
you a partial refund, or exchange it. You can also get partial refund and refocus the lens your self. Use this
video to see how this is done.

Q4: Can I use my camera as WEBCAM

A4: Yes you can, remove the sd card and connect it to your computer

A short summary of known firmwares of the 2 different H9’s, please remember, the 2 different cameras
have different firmwares which are not exchangeable and if you do it will cause a white screen or black
screen. !!! This list is not complete and will be changed frequently. Black printed are available for download
directly, red printed means only available as backup (for advanced users only)
