1. Connect IP Camera
 Step 1 – Connect IP camera with router via network cable.

Please also ensure your router’s DHCP is activated.

2. Install HentekViewer App


Please go to Play Market to install HentekViewer app. Or go to following link with
your mobile device.

3. Account Registration
Launch the Hentekviewer app and hit “Create Account” if you haven’t registered one
yet.

Fill in the required information and hit “Apply” to complete account registration.

4. Login
Launch the Hentek Viewer App. Fill in account name and password to login. Check
“Remember me” and “Sign me in automatically” to skip this process next time.

Else, you may also login with your Google account by clicking “Google Login”
(Global version only)

You then need to click “Allow” for Hentek Viewer to access some of your Google
account information in order to complete Hentek Viewer login with Google account.

5. Camera List
You will enter camera list page after logging in. You can add camera, watching camera
liveview or modifying camera and App setting here.
5.1 Add Camera
5.1.1 Click “Add Camera”, a system reminder will pop up. Click next when you
finish the requirements on the reminder page.

5.1.2 Choose “Scan QR Code” or “Manual Input”. Follow the wizard to
complete the binding process.

5.1.3 Hit “Back” to return to the camera list. Now you will see the added
camera in the list.

5.2 Watch Liveview


5.2.1 Camera Liveview
Click camera on the camera list will bring out the camera liveview page. In the
landscape view, you can see the “PTZ”, “Volume”, “Snapshot”, “Microphone”,
“Event” and “Live” buttons at the bottom of the page. Change to the horizontal
view will give you a full screen image while hiding all the buttons.

5.2.2 PTZ
The PTZ button lights up when the camera supports PTZ feature. Click PTZ
button, a set of arrow buttons and a home button will show up on the screen.
Click the arrows and the home button to control your camera. Click “PTZ”
button again to hide the buttons up.

5.2.3 Volume
Click the “Volume” button to turn on/off system volume.

5.2.4 Snapshot
Click the snapshot button will take a snapshot of the camera live view. You will
see the snapshots in the “Gallery” app on your Iphone / Ipad.

The “Microphone” button lights up when the camera supports 2-way audio.
Click the microphone button will turn on the microphone on the phone. Your
voice will be sent to the camera side. Click the microphone again to turn off the
microphone.

5.2.6 Event
Click the “Event”button will bring out the event list page. The event list page
shows the latest 7 days event clips on your camera’s SD cards. Click the event. It
will start to download the event. When the download finishes, it will start to
play it.

5.2.6.1 Playback

This device wiould support “ playback” from Cloud NVR if it be binded in a

Cloud Recording Box in same Account. Click on

to Remotely Playback the recording video that


store in Cloud NVR.

5.2.6.2 Enable Google Backup(Global version only)


Clicking “Enable Google Backup” button at the top of the event list will bring out
the setup wizard of google drive. Follow the wizard and your events in the
camera’s SD card will be backed up to your Google Drive. Events in SD card have

an icon “ ” in the beginning. Events in google drive have an icon “ ” in the

beginning.

5.3 Camera Settings

In the “Camera List” you will see an icon ” ” at the right of each camera. Clicking
it will bring you to the “Camera Settings” page. The “Camera settings” page collects

some most frequently used function of the camera. To access the full-function
camera settings, please go to Web UI of Hentek Viewer. (Refer to Section 8.3 of Web
UI Manual)

5.3.1 Camera Name
Default camera name is MAC address of the IP camera. You can change it here.

5.3.2 SD Card
Click “SD Card” will bring out the SD card information in the IP Camera

5.3.3 Alert Trigger
You can enable / disable recording to SD Card when there is an event triggered.

5.3.4 Date/time
This will brings out current date / time on the selected IP camera. You can setup the
time zone and enable/disable auto synchronization of time.

5.3.5.1 Reboot Camera
Clicking and confirming it will reboot your IP camera.
5.3.5.2 Flip Image
Enable / Disable image flip to fit your installation.
5.3.6 Video Quality
You can choose from low, mid and high image quality. To get the detail information of
the video settings of the IP camera, please go to the full-function page of the IP
Camera. To access the full-function camera settings, please go to Web UI of Hentek
Viewer. (Refer to Section 8.3 of Web UI Manual)

5.3.7 Timestamp
Enable / Disable the time stamp showing on the liveview screen.
5.3.8 Motion Detection
Enable / Disable the motion detection of the IP Camera.
5.3.9 Schedule Recording
Enable / Disable the Schedule recording of the IP camera. Default schedule is
“always”. To adjust the schedule, please go to the full-function page of the IP Camera.
To access the full-function camera settings, please go to Web UI of Hentek Viewer.
(Refer to Section 8.3 of Web UI Manual)

5.4 App Settings


Clicking “Setting” button of your phone / tablet will bring out the “App Settings”
Page.

Note: If you want to receive notification, please also check the “Notification Center” of the IOS. To
receive notifications, both “Notification Canter” and Notification Settings in the App need to be
turned on.

5.4.3 Firmware Update


Here you can check if there is an firmware update for your IP camera.
If there is an update for your IP camera released, just click the update button to let
your IP camera perform a firmware update.

5.4.4 Version Info
Here shows the software version of the app.

5.4.5 Contact Us
Here you can email us. Please choose your preferred email software on your phone /
tablet.

5.4.6 Support
Here is a program for trouble shooting. If you have trouble connecting your IP
camera, please mention it at the text block and click “Feedback”. The program will
run a self-test program and then send the result to us if there is an error occur.

5.5 Remove Camera
This section is the guide to remove the camera from your Hentek Viewer account.
After removing, you will need the activate code to add it to another account again.
Please proceed carefully.
To remove camera from your Hentek Viewer account, please follow the procedules
below.
1. Login Hentek Viewer to the camera list page.
2. Click “Edit”
3. Click “Delete Device”

4. Check the device(s) which you want to remove and click delete. Then click
“Done” to return to the camera list.
