Currently, there are two types of radio stations, if your programming is taken into account. On
the one hand, there are the generalists, those who aim to inform and entertain, and have a
wide variety of programs on their grill. On the other hand, in the last decades, radio formulas
have appeared, stations that have as their central theme a single theme.

News. - Within the news, the morning, midday, afternoon and evening spaces are included,
aimed at disseminating current information, as well as the bulletins that are issued at the hour.

Sports programs. - A large part of the work that is done in the writing of sports is broadcast
in news programs in news, report or interview format, on all types of sports. In addition, there
are specific sports programs that address sports news in a calm manner.

Programs of varied character. - In this section, the rest of the programs of a generalist radio
can be included, leaving aside the informative and sports spaces. Each one of them usually
has its own characteristics, although many of them usually have interviews, live connections

Types of Radio Programs in Ecuador

Outdoor programming

The production of these spaces was carried out since 2014. For this, a team of 32 people
worked, who coordinate operations, creation, production, etc., at its base, located in the
facilities of the Ministry of Education. It also has the cooperation of at least 40 Ecuadorian
producers, most of them are Quito.

The listeners will be able to enjoy 5 programs:

The Tin Note: is a space in which children have fun with music. The percussion, the winds,
the strings and the metals become his accomplices to explore the music.

Angels on the road: this is a radio drama that tells the story of Adolfo, a divorced father, a
former alcoholic with a history of violent behaviour who managed to recover and start a
profession as a family therapist.

History Train: 5 young people from Ecuador form a club to share historical facts and
transcendent dates of the country.

The Papo Workshop: a program that seeks to recreate reading habits in children. In everyday
situations that are presented at the beginning of the program, the grandfather (protagonist of
the show) will instruct values to Romi, his granddaughter.

Rebels: tackles different topics about Ecuadorian adolescence. They talk about their
concerns, desires and needs
