Jakarta: A building architect has advised families planning to live in an apartment to study all
the relevant regulations prior to moving in to help prevent unexpected security-reiated
occurrences.

“Tenants must obey certain regulations when living in an apartment, which is far different
from living in a landed-house,” Fendh lbuhindar said.

“Tenants of an apartment should abide regulations set by the owner of the high-rise
building,” he added.

have to abandon their mindset of living in a landed house,” he said.

He said that an owner of apartment should also consider aspects of design and building
materials that are safe for children. “The quality of building materials should be prioritized,”
he said.

Forest Fire at Mt. Sumbing Caused by Climber’s campfire
The head of kedu utara forest unit, iwan setiawan, is confirming that a forest fire that
engulfed parts of a protected forest on mount sumbing was caused by the remains of a
campfire that had not been fully extinguished by climbers.
Burning wood left by the climbers set forest vegetation alight in the dry season,
devastating about 15 hectares of protected forest in the kalinangkrik district, magelang
regency, central java,iwan said on Tuesday.
Iwan explained the fire started at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday and was extinguished by 1
p.m. by rangers from magelang and temanggung. No casualties were protected from the
incident.
“we urge climbers to be careful in setting up campfires. They should have ensured that
the fire was fully extinguished before leaving the campsite. They shouldn’t be reckless in
throwing away ciggarete butts or setting garbage on fire either because during the dry season
the vegetation is very inflammable,”he said as quoted by kompas.com.
