‘Messiah’ in Wakefield The Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir present

Handel’s
masterpiece in Wakefield Cathedral on Sunday Evening 21
November at 7.30 pm. It is a number of years since Messiah was
presented in Wakefield and the YPC, in association with the
Cathedral Authorities have determined to correct that omission, by
doing so in replacement of the Cathedral’s Evening
Worship on that Sunday night. It is some time since you
experienced the emotion and thrill of sharing in this superb work,
which focuses on the annunciation and the passion of Christ (or
maybe you never have), why not take this opportunity to do so.
Tickets are £12 (£10 concessions) from 01924 364862,
ypctickets@googlemail.com or for the next two weeks, have a word
with Derek Howell or Stephanie Woodhead.

PCC The minutes from the last meeting are in the pigeon holes.
Easter Eggs! I know we haven’t had Christmas yet, but these eggs
are produced with an explanation of the Easter on the box. The
producers have asked us to order the eggs by the beginning of
December. If you sign up you are committing to buy them when
delivery is taken in April. They cost £4.50 each and the PCC will
have to pay in advance. Please sign up on welcome desk.
