In November 1994, RWF became the first Production Unit on Indian Railways to
adopt ISO-9002; Quality Management System and obtain a certificate for this
by M/s.BVQI, which is an internationally renowned certifying body.

This standard was upgraded to ISO-9001: 2000 Quality Management System.

Within a few months of the introduction of the new standard ie., in March 2001,
RWF again became the first Production unit on Indian Railways to be certified
for ISO-9001:2000, by M/sBVQI.

RWF is also certified by Association of American Railroads (AAR) for its

Quality Assurance Program to enable exporting its product to American
Market for interchangeable services.
