NCsentry software operation

Software installation
Click “NCSentry2kBS.exe”,and input the licence code as follows:

Program transmission

1. Connection
One terminal of communication cable is connected to Pin 9 of PC and another terminal is
connected to CNC system (232) socket.

2. Setting of communication protocol

CNC and PC must use the same communication protocol, otherwise they cannot perform the
communication normally. The standard setting is: DATA:7, STOP:2, Parity:EVEN, Baud: 4800. The
baud rate can be selected by the parameter #311.
Confirm the following CCN setting:
1) In [SETTING] mode,PUNCH CODE=1,INPUT DEVICE 2=1。
2) In [PARAMETER] mode,NC parameter:#311=10011001(baud rate: 4800).
3. Program memory(PC→CNC)
1) Open the CNC program needed to store.
Note: Program begins and end with %, and English colon stands for program number O.
2) Enter Utilities|send…,and click Settings to execute the following setting:

3) Click START to send after the setting is completed. The information bar prompts: Send is
waiting machine to receive.
4) Open the program lock switch.
5) The CNC is switched to Edit mode. In [Program] mode, input [O]+[PROGRAM NUMBER],
and press [DATA INPUT] to receive the program. Input [O]+[-9999] if all program are
needed to store. The flash “EDIT” appears in the course of transmission.
4. Program output(CNC→PC)
1) Enter Utilities|Receive…,and click Settings to execute the following setting:
2) Click START to wait for receiving.

3) The CNC is switched to Edit mode. In [Program] mode, input [O]+[PROGRAM NUMBER],
and press [DATA OUTPUT] to output the selected program. Input [O]+[-9999] if all
program are needed to output. The flash “EDIT” appears in the course of communication.
4) Delete the “@018 located at the head of file and “‫ ”ٱ‬located at the end of file to save the file.

Parameter transmission
The setting of connection and communication protocol is the same that of program transmission but
their CNC operation is a little different.
1. Parameter input(PC→CNC)
1) Open the backup NC parameter file.
2) Enter Utilities|send…,and click Settings to perform the setting of communication protocol
which is the same that of program transmission(4800,7,2,EVEN).
3) Open the parameter protection switch of CNC system, at this time, the system displays
#100 alarm, at the same time, [RESET]+[CANCEL] are pressed to cancel the alarm.
4) The CNC is switched to [PARAMETER] mode. In Edit mode, press the emergency stop
switch and input [P]+[-9999],and last press [DATA INPUT] to receive the parameter. The
flash “ALM” appears in the course of parameter transmission. After the transmission is
completed, #000 alarm appears.
5) The CNC system is turned off and the parameter switch is closed, the CNC system is
turned on again.
2. Parameter output (CNC→PC)
1) Enter Utilities|Receive…, and click Settings to perform the setting of communication
protocol which is the same that of program transmission(4800,7,2,EVEN).
2) Click START to receive the parameter.
3) The CNC is switched to [EDIT] MODE. In [PARAMETER] mode, input [P]+[-9999],and
press [DATA OUTPUT] key to output the parameter.
4) Delete the “@018 located at the head of file and “‫ ”ٱ‬located at the end of file to save the file.
DNC machining transmission
1. Connection
One terminal of communication cable is connected to Pin 9 of PC and another terminal is connected
to CNC system (DNC) socket.
2. Open the machining program.
3. Enter Utilities|send…, and click Settings to execute the following setting:
Note: DNC transmission and program/parameter transmission use the different baud
rate, the former one is 38.4 and other setting will not be changed.
4. Click START after the setting is completed. The information bar prompts: Send is waiting
machine to receive.

5. Press the CYCLE START key after CNC is switched to DNC mode.
