Introduction
H5 is an upgraded lesson from CEJ
1:1 to an Interactive version. In order
to teach using the H5 AC capabilities,
you need to pass the H5 training
and the tech check.

1. Is the H5 Training a promotion?
H5 Training
- No; it is an upskill training and
certification.

2. What should I do if I can not see H5

training schedule?
H5 training schedule will be revealed to
teachers who complete the H5 activity
training

 3. How do I complete the H5 activity training?
Step 1 : Log in and locate the training access :

 4. What qualification do I need to attend H5 training?
- BK-12 tag is the minimum qualification needed to attend H5 training

 5. If I don’t have the BK-12 tag, can I still attend H5 training?
- Yes; although we highly recommend that you attend BK-12 training and get
certified as a BK-12 teacher before attending H5 training

 7. How do we know if we passed or failed and who will notify us?
- If you pass the H5 demo, your evaluator will inform you. If you fail, you will be
notified via email or a Skype message on the steps you can take to qualify.

8. How many times can we retake this training?

- You may reschedule or retake it once.

Check
What is the H5 Tech Check?
- It is a necessary test of your AC and bandwidth detection to ensure that
you are ready to conduct H5 lessons.

 2. What do I need to do to ensure my AC is ready for H5?
• Update AC to the latest version 2.21.0.23 (It is the minimum
viable version. )
• Detect bandwidth
• Cache cleaning

 3. What are steps I need to complete for AC bandwidth detection?

 4. Why is it My speedtest result is different from the bandwidth checker of AC?

 Check Network Bandwidth WILL NOT mirror teacher's network download speed.
> i.e if teacher's network download speed is above 7MBPS, it will not show the same on the bandwidth result. The
maximum network bandwidth result that will show on the test is 5.2MBPS.

> If teacher's network download speed is below 5.2MBPS, it will automatically mirror the download speed.

> i.e. if teacher's network download speed is 3MBPS, the bandwidth result will be 3MBPS.

> This is to control the bandwidth consumption to avoid latency on teachers network.

Tagging
The H5 tag is the proof and badge that you can conduct H5 Lessons. You can get
the H5 Tag by accomplishing both of the following:
1. Pass the H5 Training Demo
2. Pass the H5 Tech Check

 1. When do I get the H5 tag?
- You will get the H5 tag one week after you have completed the 2 requirements mentioned in the
previous page. If you have not yet finished the 2 requirements, you will see the reminder in your
MyPage account. Please contact IT support through portal for suggestions about passing tech check
requirement.

No, this is the self-access training button, not the H5 tag.

H5 Lessons are those that use the H5 functions for actual classes with learners

- This is how an H5 lesson looks like in the teacher’s
schedule.

 2. How can I download and prepare for H5 lessons in advance?
PDF versions of H5 lessons are downloadable from AC, the interactive effect will
not be reflected in the PDF file, though. You have to open the class via AC.

3. When will we start teaching H5 lessons?

H5 lessons have gone live since March 2019 . All teachers who have
completed the training and who have met the requirements will be able to get H5
lessons. So, please get your H5 Tag! 
