INTRODUCTION
Shopping malls are the new concept in India. These are the urban spaces which attracts public from the
facade. Shopping is the primary human activity in which almost every individual in civilized society takes
part, inevitably almost daily. So such places which are being daily utilized by mass of public shall be well
designed so as to serve the mass with their needs in a comfortable manner. The elevation should give at least
glimpses into the interior indicating that what is going within, and stimulating interest. So it shall be an
attractive social place where a large no. of shops will be provided, catering to the needs of the mass.

GROWTH OF MULTIPLEX CUM SHOPPING MALL

Firstly the shops were considered as the Need based places. People liked to go there when needed. Also the
Cinemas were individual, huge, independent masses. But soon do to the increase in the pace of world people
found shortage of time for commercial and recreational activities. So decision was taken to club up these
two activities in one, making it “Multiplex cum Shopping Mall”. Soon it became a huge success and such
buildings were widely accepted by the public.
In India, due to the loss of profit in running the large, cavernous, decorative auditoriums, which were
standard cinema form for more than 50 years, are now virtually obsolete.

AIM
 The project is to create a space which can form the node for holding and experiencing commercial, cultural
and social activities. It is in a way a hybrid between a Convention Centre or a Cultural hub and a
Commercial centre's at a much reduced scale.

 As a City Centre requires to incorporate the demands, the present demography asks for commercial and
Cultural Hub. To provide a common space for all income groups where no one will feel discriminated like
high end malls.

OBJECTIVE

 The project is to explore the symbiotic character of commerce and culture, to explore the inter-relationships
of the spaces and the challenges of disparities cause by design which restricts spaces to particular segment of
public, to evolve a contemporary model of conventional Indian market.
 The project would try to explore the possible integration of the functions which usually exist at larger
distances.
 The site has been developed in such a way where people will connect as it is an amalgamation of their
culture with some modern trends of shopping. People will enjoy various activities at a same place without
being charged extra.
 The main intent of designing this place is to create a space where people come, enjoy and unwind
themselves. The place is designed with some unusual concept to reduce fatigue and daily tension of people
coming here.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

Shopping Mall at the heart of culture providing a sustainable, Secure, culturally diverse and accessible space
that is valued sported by the people and the surrounding areas.

To promote, enable and facilitate, Inclusive, activities which embrace and address the employment, social
cultural, entertainment, culturally Rich commercial and public space, Recreational needs of the local people.
SITE LOCATION

The site proposed for the shopping mall is at B-9 Sector 132,Expressway Noida. It is a 5 Acre Mix Land use
IT/ITES plot. The plot is on excellent location, 3 side open, opposite Jaypee Hospital and surrounded by
existing and many upcoming top Residential and Corporate Projects on expressway.

SITE ACCESS

This project provides excellent connectivity options with 30 meter wide road that connects the project site
to Noida-Greater noida expressway.
The location of the mall offers outstanding connectivity via sector roads, connecting it to Noida-Greater
noida Expressway. The project is based in a vicinity surrounded by residential development and many
corporate projects. Both the sectors ensures heavy footfall at this commercial establishment.

SITE AREA

The site measures 5.5 acres approximately. The site is a Square piece of land having roads on the three
sides.

The Following Services Will Be Provided
1. Air-Conditioning- Plant Room, AHU, Cooling Towers Etc.
2. Lighting- Generators Room, Electric Control Rooms, Distribution Boards Etc., Different Kinds of
Lights So As To Attract the Eye of Visitors.
3. Fire Fighting- Sprinklers, Detectors, Fire Hydrants, Escape Routes, Fire Extinguishers And Separate
Water Supply
4. Water Supply- Sufficient Storage Of Water (Underground And At Terrace Level) To Meet The
Requirements Of People. Separate Storage For:
1. Drinking Water
2. Soft Water For Air- Conditioning
3. For Fir Fighting
4. Raw Water for Toilets.
5. All these services to be placed efficiently throughout the Building, As Per National Building
Codes And Indian Standards.

6. PARKING
Efficient Parking Space Is Provided For Visitors At Ground And At Basement Level. Efficient Electronic
Devices Like Sensors, Gates And Display Devices Will Be Installed.
The Parking Requirements Are As Follows:
Car Parking (1 Car per 50 Sq. M
Two Wheeler Parking (1 Scooter Per 25 Sq. M)
Separate Parking Space Will Be Provided For The Staff @ 1.12 Car Space/10 Sq. M Of Commercial Space.
