Further to the discussion held last month, I am sending you the report making the case for the full-
fledged introduction of the mobile application in the Intensive Care Unit of ABC Hospital. The
report is based on the data, and in-dept analysis and various other rational considerations.

The report provides a full synopsis of the plan on the advantage it will bring to ABC Hospital
group. The overview of the communication app in the hospital will help in refining the
communication process in the hospital. With the improvement in the presentation of the hospital
with the procedure of business organisation cost-saving procedure. We anticipate the project to be
conveyed in the interior timeframe of one year. I submit this plan for your kind consideration and
necessary approval so that ABC Hospital can proceed with execution as soon as possible.

Executive Summary:
This report explains the implementation of the RT Tracker mobile application in ABC Hospital
which is presented to the Chief Finance Officer of the healthcare organisation to replace the
inefficiency in the communication process of ABC Hospital. The current system regarding the
patients care in ABC Hospital is proving to be a problem in the business organisation. This problem
is negatively affecting work procedures and communication within our hospital causing medical
errors resulting in poor patient care bringing the risk of malpractice litigations.

The communication app will help in providing the communication facilities within and between
the various doctor as well as the medical staff working under the Intensive Care Unit where the
continuous flow of the information regarding the patient care is a must. The communication of the
health status among the doctors will help the business organisation provide excellent and timely
care to the patients.

In this report, the mobile enterprise app will be one of the smarter moves of ABC Hospital
regarding the communication improvement regarding the patients’ health condition among the
respective doctors. The application will improvise and enhance the two-way communication
process. This app will help in saving the time and effort as well as balance the flow of clinical
information. Further, the incidence of medical errors and delays in treatment will be reduced. In
this report, the cost of implementation of the RT Tracker mobile app is also included. The cost, as
well as the net saving from the cost, is also included in this report while implementing the RT
Tracker mobile app for the enterprises. Furthermore, in this report, the annual productivity the
efficiency gained by ABC Hospital is also enlisted. In this report, the Internal rate of return (IRR),
as well as the Net Present Value (NPV) of the company, is also calculated to estimates the payback
period of the company.

In this report, the various type of the strategic alignment within the business organisation IT
strategies is also provided. In this report, the values and the benefit gain by the company are also
provided with the brief discussion. Furthermore, this report will be including the management and
control system of the business organisation. In this report, we can see the infrastructure required
in the development of the apps as well.

Background:
The Chief Information officer developed this case of the implementation of the RT Tracker mobile
app to update the information of the patients in the hospital so that it emphasises in building the
better network of the communication. This app will emphasise in developing the business
organisational intercommunication. The lack of continuous flow of information regarding the
health of the patient is creating a problem in the life-saving objective of the health institutions.

The one-way communication or the gap in the communication process between the doctors
regarding the health care of the patients is creating a problem and cause for concern. If this problem
is not addressed, the presence of top-class healthcare facilities to the patients in the hospital will
not help in the improvement of patient outcomes. The lack of communication regarding the health
condition of the patients creates a great loss to the health facilities provided by the hospitals. The
implementation of the RT Tracker mobile app facilities in the organisation will help the business
organisation in solving the communication problem(Musselbrook & McAteer, 2000).

This app will help in avoiding the errors in the business operation. This will increase the level of
co-ordination of the doctor with their patient. It saves the time as well as provide up-to-date
information regarding the health of the patients to their respective doctor. This app will help in
saving cost as well as provide effective treatment to the patients. In this report, the condition of
the patients can be analysed through this app which will provide and improve the management of
the patients admitted in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Proposed Solution:
According to the analysis of the ABC Hospital data updating of patients health care is inefficient.
The main issues faced by the ABC Hospital group is that the company is facing the problem is the
communication is ineffective, which has resulted in the increase in the number of medication and
treatment errors. Further, the problems associated with communication make the hospital more
susceptible to malpractice litigations from affected patients. The lack the coordination between
Senior Consultant doctors and the Junior doctors is creating problems. To reduce these problem
faced by the company and increase the efficiency of the hospital the RT Tracker mobile app is to
be introduced.

The RT Tracker mobile app will provide the real-time clinical data to the doctors who are involved
in the treatment process so that it will enhance the level of communication between the doctors in

the intensive care unit of the hospital. The flow of the information will be smoother, and treatment
errors will decrease significantly. With the reduction in the time wastage and enhance the
workflow for supporting the healthcare staff. Launching the RT Tracker mobile app will save time
and effort regarding the work in the workplace(Ravenek & Alvarez, 2016).

There are some of the benefits of implementing the RT Tracker mobile app in providing health
care to the patients in ABC Hospital. Some of the benefits are the security of the data and
information about patients, improve the care coordination among the staff and patients in the
hospital, reduce the errors, save and manage the time and efforts, increase the efficiency at work,
maintain the confidentiality of information, etc. ABC Hospital could be benefited through these
methods of transfer of the information by technology.

Cost Analysis:
The cost analysis is made for the app that is being launched to provide up-to-date information to
the doctor regarding the patients’ health. The cost of the RT Tracker mobile app is based on the
assumption as below:

 In-house expansion.
 Not technically a complex app. Customer Adaptable app.
 Traditionalist educated guess for efficacy gain.
 Polyglot means different code language.
 Integration with the various hospital information system.

These are some of the assumptions of the cost analysis of the RT Tracker mobile app in ABC
Hospital. The implementation of the new RT Tracker mobile app the business work life will
emphasise to increase the business efficiency with the minimisation of time and cost as well as
business efforts. The RT Tracker mobile app is the health tracker which will track the health
condition of the patience of ABC Hospital group.

The figure above shows the cost analysis of RT Tracker mobile app with the mention assumption
of the company above the estimated net present value is $14,071.44. The different scenario of the
account margin has been included which include the service and maintenance upgrade, software
pricing, software maintenance pricing and so on. The RT Tracker mobile app is estimated with the
positive return of the cash flow, and that is $ 30,085.00. It has the internal rate of return of 44.62%
demonstrating the positive and effective application of the mobile app.

ABC Hospital is a service-oriented business organisation which is established with the aim of
providing the treatment to the patients in the hospital. We value their patients the most and give
their level best to improve the health condition of the patients who are admitted to the ABC
Hospital(LaForge & Ingram, 2009) We provide service equally to all the patients in the hospital.

The RT Tracker mobile app provides the ABC Hospital a technological superiority in the treatment
of the ICU patients as compared to the competitors and makes the ABC Hospital more capable in
providing the best treatment and save the lives of the patients. The RT tracker mobile app will help
ABC Hospital is providing the best facility and increase the level of communication between the
health worker and the patience(Sukhraj, 2018).

The mobile app system will be useful to the employee working in ABC Hospital to provide the
great help to the patients, and they can manage the daily operation of appointing of different doctor
and patience with the use of the app. This app will help in reducing the error in the patient's
treatment and increase the efficiency and update of the patient's health condition(Goepp & Avila,
2015).

Value Proposition:
The value proposition is the benefit provided by the ABC Hospital in a unique way to its patients.
It is the process of showing why ABC Hospital is better than any other
hospitals(optinmonster.com, 2016).The value proposition will help in providing a solution to the
challenges faced by providing the tailored solutions. The RT treatment tracker mobile app will
emphasise the provision of best service to the patients in ABC Hospital. It will enable providing
safe and timely treatment to the target patients in ICU department of the hospital (Kolowich, 2018).

This treatment tracker will provide the unique service to the customer and also prove that ABC
Hospital is better and unique in the market.

As patients are treated in ABC Hospital and provided treatment based on the diseases , this will
provide real-time clinical data to the doctors and enable prompt communication amongst the
doctors regarding patient care. ABC Hospital provides care to the patients in the intensive care
unit of a hospital by the medical team. This app will assisst in monitoring the condition of patients
by the doctors in real-time 24 hours a day.

Some of the value proposition technique used by the ABC Hospital are highlighted as below:

 Proving the time treatment delivery to the patient in ICU with the use of the mobile
application which helps in keeping an eye in the patience in 24*7.
 The mobile application will emphasise in two-way communication between the doctors.
 The mobile application will emphasise in scheduling the treatment procedure by saving the
time and effort.
 The mobile application will also be emphasised in providing the tracking process through
the personalised web pages.

Project Management and Control:


The project management and control is one of the analytical processes which influences the time
and cost outcome of the project or any program. The project management and control will help in
estimating the cost of the project as well as manage the business risk and errors as well(Aramyan,
2016). To manage the project and control it the key performance indicator is to be analysed with
its measurement. The project here is the treatment of the patients. The project management and
control will improvise the performance of the doctors and lead to cost savings after the use of the
mobile application. The project will be managed by the CIO of ABC hospital who is in the IT
department. The CIO of the company also handles the finance project(explore.easyprojects.ne,
2016).

A certain time is required to develop the mobile app, and this is also to be managed by the CIO of
the company.

Infrastructure Requirement:
The mobile application will be developed to emphasise the existing information from the system.
To determine the hospital system, the mobile application is developed. The mobile application
technology will help in providing up-to-date information. To reduce the error in the providing the
patient with the proper care, ABC Hospital is implementing the mobile application services. The
mobile application service will enhance the smooth flow of the work with the reduction in the
period of business working activities. Different software that has been used in the company in the
preliminary stage of the company is also providing access to the various organisational
consumption areas(who.int, 2012).

Coding Language and Tools:


The coding language and different tools have been used under the business organisation platform.
Here under the analysis of the devices used than here, it required to run in both Android as well as
in IOS platform which can be used by ABC hospital in its business operation(embedded.com,

other coding language that can be used in accelerating the operation of the application. Since the
maximum number of people found to be using android, so the use of the information is one of the
open source's information that uses the hybrid tools in the operating of the mobile application. The
hybrid tools of operating the mobile application will enable ABC Company in emphasising better
care of the patient in the hospital from their 24 hours business functioning.

The cloud service can be for the private, public or for a hybrid. As the ABC company use the
hybrid tools in functioning the cloud service will provide ABC company will be providing the
company with the support from the various services provider so that the privacy of the patients is
kept confidential, and data collection could be stored under the data platform site of the hybrid
services with the reduction in the cost and the various storage charge. The hybrid service does not
require direct cloud service to operate the mobile application rather the cloud is stored under the
data platforms.

Software Design, Development Methodologies and Testing Strategies:


The organisation procedure for software expansion plans such as this RT mobile application keep
an eye on the simple rules of project supervision, but moreover comprises further elements that
compact with trials and hindrances concerning the IT productiveness. There is a different stage of
software designing and development. The software development methodology is one of the
efficient software projects that help in the management of the software which has been defined
from the various practical ideas and proven business practices. To meet the expectation of the
client here in this case-patient, the software testing methodology is emphasised. There is various

type of testing method which can be used as the testing strategies by the company, and they are
unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and performance testing and so on(guru99.com,
2018). The software development methodology is one of the sets of guideline that is used in the
process of different research planning, designing, developing and maintenance of the various

internationalisation has an impact in the by the globalisation through the various emergence of the
technology Since the staff in ABC hospital was not able in providing service to the patients 24
hours, it has developed the mobile application to assist them further in streamlining the care. It
provides the various kind of health care facilities to the patients in the intensive care
unit(guru99.com, 2018).
The mobile application will be useful for the company as it will enable the company to keep the
eye in the patient for whole 24 hours. The internationalisation has emphasised in making and
serving the customer in the global market. It will enhance the efficiency of the customer as a result
of which the hospital operating efficiency increase the patients could get more care from the
hospital as the error in the business operation is decreased(Rouse, 2013).
The hospital will face different challenges in operating the business operation in the international
market. Ineffective communication is one of the serious issues. Different political and legal forces
of the international market will affect the business operation. Rolling out the application in other
countries is one of the challenging jobs for the ABC Hospital. It has been imaging that ABC
hospital will be facing all these challenges and risk while running its business operation in other
countries (Denyer, 2009).

Social Media
The social media integration will emphasise in the process of as long as the substantial change in
the mobile application. The use of social media will emphasise in sharing the information and
stories amongst the doctors privately. However, the opportunity provided by social media in terms
of the ease of sharing information must balance the risks associated with the leak of such privileged
and sensitive information. In view of these concerns, it is recommended that the integration of the
mobile application with the social media may be avoided as confidentiality concerns overweigh

the benefits. Though the use of social media can provide greater ease in communication, it is
strongly emphasized that the hospital accord more importance to the privacy concerns
(investopedia.com, 2018a).

Risk Management
There is no guarantee in the various project management strategies, the risk administration analysis
and profile are vital in disparate business stages. The risk assessment is the process of recognising
the conceivable risk as well the assessment of the impact of these risk(investopedia.com, 2018b).
The mobile application will be using the risk assessment matrix to assess the business risk. The

To manage the risk of the ABC hospital, the company need to assess the risk, and the risk that has
an extreme chance of affecting the integration of mobile application in the hospital operation need
to be managed at the very first stage, and the level of high risk should be managed and so on. The
management of risk in the rollout of the mobile app in the hospital will increase the business
organisation efficiency. The risk can be managed if the risk is given the primary focus by making
the business strategies to solve the business problem. So the risk that has a higher impact on the
business operation needs to be managed first, and the less impactful risk will follow the
hierarchy(Cole, 2015).

Integration and Deployment Strategies
The mobile application will increase the efficiency of the hospital business operation as well as
increase the efficiency of patients in the hospital. The mobile application is one of the challenging
things to get integrated into the business organisation. Here integration is integrating the new
software, i.e. mobile application in the hospital operation. The integration of the mobile application
needs to pass the business organisation business ethics and morale as well.

Professionals recommend to assimilate new systems successfully; the inheritance structures will
need to either be substituted, promoted or form a middleware system. The use of the middleware
system seems to be more useful as it helps in the existence of effective communication between
the patients and the doctor or the health worker. The integration of the mobile application will
increase the standardisation in the treatment facilities of the hospital as the 24 hours analysis on
patient health is made.

The open end communication in the mobile application will increase the flow of the information
of the patient health which reduces the errors and also enhances ease and accessibility in the
deployment of the mobile application among the organisation as well as outside the business
organisation. Making the change rather than relying on the same thing so that the error is reduced
and the specialisation in action is incurred(Setter, 2015).

User Acceptance and Change Management


The user here plays an important role in the process of mobile application acceptance. The user
acceptance and the experience they have regarding the use of the mobile application determine the
successful integration of the mobile application. The technical team is hired to determine the
influence of the mobile application to the end users. The testing process is also emphasised in the
process of user acceptance. The testing will be based on the real-life scenario. The user acceptance
here will be based on the functionality of the mobile application in the business operation(Levine,
2012).

The lack of technician in the change management perspective has resulted in the failure rate of the
business organisation information system. In the change management process, the leader of the
business organisational plays an important role. As we know that the change management is
managing the change in the organisational goals and process as well as organisational

technologies. To adapt to the change in the business organisation change management is a must.
The implementation of the mobile application will be emphasised in the process of better
communication which will succeed the change that is to be bought by the integration of mobile
application. The change for something good is always worth it(Rouse, 2017).

Maintenance
Every organisation information system plays an integral part. So to withdraw the valid result from
the organisation information system and to reduce the error and manage the change management
the app maintenance is a must. The application or the business organisation information system
are maintained for a reason listed as below:

The maintenance helps in making the business activities effective and also improve the

patient in the hospital. If the application is launched successfully, it will provide great help in

Recommendation
The organisation has the objective of improving business performance with integrity. The
organisation, i.e. hospital strategy is to launch the mobile application so that the doctor and
patience coordination and communication increase and where the doctor can take 24 hours eyes
on the patients which will help in reducing the error in the patient care. Some of the
recommendations for ABC hospital is listed as below:

These are some of the recommendation to ABC hospital regarding the integration of the mobile
application in the hospital sector to keep an eye on the patient health 24 hours so that they might
reduce the error in the health care of the patients as well as enhance the level of condition as well
as communication between the hospital staff and the doctor and the patients in the hospital.

Conclusion
ABC hospital is trying to implement the mobile application system so that the patient in the ICU
Intensive Care Unit where the patients are treated based on their diseases. The ICU has a junior
medical doctor 24X7 who keeps updating patient information to high-ranking doctors and follows
the instructions passed on by them. This gets complex when low-ranking doctors have to speak to
numerous experts back and forth. Furthermore, there are times when multiple patients require
advice and only one junior doctor is on duty (especially during weekends and nights). This has
caused concern about deferral in the life-saving treatment of patients apart from an augmented
possibility of medical mistakes which can lead to malpractice litigations.

Hence the development of the mobile application will enhance the communication process as well
as helpful in keeping an eye at the patients. The proper implementation of the strategies as well as
the management of the change in the business will help in providing intensive care unit with the
better facilities. The integration of the mobile application will help to increase the coordination
among the hospital staff, doctor and the patients. In the internalisation of the hospital, this
application will be beneficial as they have the different coded language to embrace
communication.

In building the close relationship among the staff member in the organisation the change
management is important as well as to provide the alert of the solution regarding the health
condition of the patience the mobile application is most important. Hence integration of mobile
application in ABC hospital will provide the hospital with intensive care.
