Basic Guide to iGP Manager through my Knowledge I have gained

Tyres & Push Level.

Keep tyres top side of grey in temp or Red by a fraction, use push levels as temperature controls rather than push levels.
Then Full 5/5 push on last lap before pit or last lap of race (unless you need to use it up to get in Drs before last lap etc.)
as you can let them go very Red on approach to pit stop or last lap of race.

Also for example you could push hard 5/5 to close gap on approach to DRS to get into the Zone then 2nd half of lap you
can put on lower push level to cool tyres back down etc. (But you can’t do this on hot tracks because you can’t cool the
tyres back down, they’ll stay really Red which is bad).

But don’t get them too Red too early as that loses speed and gives the tyre higher wear % the more Red they are, which
will affect the speed of the tyres for last part of a stint before pitting or end of race compared to rivals.

Same with Blue tyres will be slow.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Approx. push level when offline. Push level 1 = very low push(1/5), push level 5 = very high push(5/5). If 2 options
shown use higher push at colder temp & lower push at higher end of temperature shown
(Note also that this is for fully trained high talent drivers, I think if your drivers are like talent 2, level 8 then I think you
can push harder before overheating tyres from what I remember so need to be careful with below push levels, it maybe
you have to go 1 push level higher than suggested if you are a rookie team with low talent undertrained drivers etc.)

In Wet conditions it’s pretty much a 1 Stop race everywhere assuming it is wet all the way through race, push level
usually similar to what is used for Soft tyres in dry.

Wets or Intermediates? (wetness Level)

0.1-3.0mm = Intermediates
3.1mm+ = Full Wets

Kers usage & DRS
When using Kers - don't use kers when in DRS zone as there is a speed limit which you can get to with just push level 5 in
drs without kers (with level 17 drs & above), so you just waste kers that way (with low level DRS & Kers below level 12,
it will actually be an advantage to use kers in DRS Zone to help with overtake as you won’t reach the speed limit of
350kmh), also there is a speed limit for each push level so when using kers put the push level higher to make most use
of the kers power.
Also using bits of Kers to keep in DRS zones is important for teams above level 13 Technology & especially for teams
above level 16+
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Car Design & Spying
Main Areas = Acceleration, Braking, Handling, Downforce. For example: 10 points of downforce is better than 35 points
of Fuel Economy
Secondary Areas = Fuel Econ, Tyres Econ,
For teams changing engines & parts every race means cooling & reliability is almost irrelevant.

Spying on 1 area at a time, spy on the biggest gap in one of the the big 4 (accell,Brake,Hand,Downforce) once they
maximum then spy fuel then once maximum again, spy on tyres, cooling/reliability can wait till the end.

Change Engines for every race if possible as lose a lot of performance and lap time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drivers
The higher the talent level the better and need 20 talents to compete in Elite Tier.
Very important to train Stamina to 20 before you train anything else for 2 reasons, 1=it’s an important attribute for race
speed, and no.2= it’s the quickest attribute to train before your drivers turn to red stars etc.
Also Academy drivers are much cheaper, for example signing a level 18 driver with talent 20 from another team is 1.2
million per race. But if you sign an academy talent 20 they are only £0.3 million per race but need a lot of training but
will still be £0.35-£0.4 million per race when fully trained, the price is due to level, you may find a level 5 20 talent driver
on transfer market and his wage would be about £0.3-£0.4 million per race which leaves more money to spend of extra
designers.

Designers & Other Staff

Get 4.5* or 5* Chief Designer with a weakness of cooling or reliability, with a strength of one of the other areas
although having a strength of Acceleration/Braking/downforce/Handling is best.
You can run up to 3 designers throughout a season for a better starting design for first race, if you have one with
strength of braking & weakness of cooling, and one with strength of handling & weakness of cooling, then run half the
races with one designer & half with the other designer, that way 2 areas (Handling& Braking) will be at max 50 (Elite)
rather than one at 50, you can actually run 3 designers as it takes 6 races for 4.5 star designer to get strength to 50, so
you could have 2 areas at max start design of 50 plus one at 49 as you only get 5 races with 3rd designer, this only works
with all weaknesses of cooling & reliability as any weakness gets minus points obviously. This is also very expensive and
not really viable in terms of cost and available designers.

Technical director get a 4.5* or 5* person, makes no difference if 4.5 or 5

Doctors aren’t really worth it especially if you have money troubles, just let your doctors contract run out and the game
with auto sign a 1* Doctor at £50k per race rather than £0.8 Million per race

Headquarters
Just build Technology until at your maximum level as most important.
Then Design building.
Need Manufacturing for parts unless you buy them or watch video’s (Note- If don’t repair your car for the final 2-3 races
of season it gets automatically repaired for free for start of next season so save a large chunk of spares, you will lose a
small bit of performance but not a lot.

Offices mean Zero..

Simulator is useless if your drivers are already at red star level.
Youth academy is important if you want to get cheap high talent drivers, but you won’t find talent 20’s till at least level
12 (be huge amount of tokens), level 14 will find talent 20’s with about 20-30 tokens + 15 to hire the driver.

Random Race Notes. (Mostly for Elite)
In Monza DO NOT lose the DRS train at the front of the pack as you will fall backwards like a stone as DRS is worth 1.1
seconds in at Elite tier race (Level 17+ Technology) you won’t ever catch the group back up.
Also if you are in front of pack don’t waste Kers trying to get away as it’s impossible as you need a group of about 4 cars
of equal speed and strategy to make any chance of a break working in Monza.

Monaco is the opposite, “dirty air” very big at this track; don’t sit behind someone as you’ll will just fall 1.5-2 seconds
back even if you are 1 second per lap faster.

Most powerful DRS Zones.
Monza – Hungary
Least Powerful DRS Zone
Brazil

Sponsors = Sign iRacing as Primary Sponsor And WTF1 as Secondary Sponsor.

This is just a guide and is not fact, it may help you and it may not, my experience is of Elite so this guide might not
work as well in Rookie & Pro Tier like the correct push level and strategy and Kers strategy but you can use it to try
things and work the rest out for yourself.
