Introductory Activity
Prayer, Greetings, Checking of Attendance

Activity Show to the students a video clip and ask what they have noticed in the video?

Analysis Why do we need to know the safety procedures of using the tools?

Abstraction The teacher discuss the safety procedures of using the tools.
Foot file- gently slide it back and forth across the ball of your foot and the bottom of the toes.
Flip the file over and repeat the process with each foot.
Callous Remover- lay the callous remover on the top thick part of the callous. Do not lay the
blade above the area that is going to be cut, as they may result in cutting the soft part of the
foot.
Pumice stone- after soaking the feet in warm soapy water, use the pumice stone to gently buff
away cracked or dry skin of the feet with a soft, circular motion.
Application Group Activity: The class is divided into 4 groups. Each group will do the following
activity.
Group 1: Assemble the picture given.
Group 2: State the procedures on how to use the tools given.
Group 3: Draw the following tools.
a. Callous remover b. Foot file c. Pumice stone
Group 4: Make a slogan regarding the safety procedures of the tools.

What would likely to happen if heavy pressure is applied when using a pumice stone?
