Introduction

The Composite Chart

One and one make more than two, and when two people get together a third party
emerges: the couple. As a couple, a team, a dynamic duo, you both become part of
something larger that can give you greater power and potential than either has alone.
As the two of you become one, a totally new horoscope emerges, called the composite
chart, which describes what you have become by linking up, what your special, mutual
universe looks like from inside and out. It may be very different than either of you alone,
or it may just reinforce you both, but it is what you are together, so embrace it. When
you move to a new location, you modify that chart, and your image together and what
you can do with it may change significantly. As with your individual charts, you have an
inside that doesn't change with a move and an outside that changes with locality. To
see if you have the best possible fit in this new place, here's a look at both.

A composite chart shows the midpoints between two charts' planet positions. Horizons
uses a new method to allow the relocation of a composite chart. The composite planet
positions are placed into the chart of the first person in the composite pair.

Ascendant in Cancer
Your new image here is upfront, close, and personal -- which can seem reassuring and
caring to some and quite invasive and threatening to others. You'll seem more attuned
to the feelings of others, but once you're in the door, be prepared to take responsibility
for the space you have invaded. On the opposite side, you yourselves may be a bit
more touchy than you think you are.

Midheaven in Aries
You can get tagged as too easily picking a fight here, which comes from taking things
too personally and moving too swiftly to protect your interests. On the other hand, if
you're looking to get tangled up and personal, this is just the place to be. Whatever is
said about you, it is often without second thought, and changes just as easily.

Planets on Angles

Any planet on one of the angles (Ascendant, MC, Descendant, IC) of your relocation
chart will be greatly strengthened when you are at the place of relocation, very much
like if it were on the angles of your natal chart. If the Sun is on an angle, you'll have
more confidence; if Mars is there you'll have more energy, and so on. Moreover, you
don't have to actually go there to get the effect. Having a planet on a relocated angle
will accentuate that place for you even if you are only doing business with people there
over the phone. You have an accentuated quality to people in such places that you may
not have elsewhere.

Composite Neptune Sxt DS (Strong)

You're likely to find yourselves running into (or attracting) a pretty dreamy crew here,
meaning either rather lofty or totally clueless. Either one works for you, but don't expect
too many hard-nose realists to be flocking to your company. You fit nicely down the
middle, where possibilities become probabilities.

Neptune in Fourth House

This could be your ideal home together -- or at least that's how you may feel about it,
whatever condition it's in. Wherever you live, it's more important to have the right sense
of location than exactly the right hardware, at least to begin with. If the inner feeling
suits you, the outer trappings will come.

You'll be easily articulate here, and explaining yourselves will come so easily that you
won't really have to do much at all. A single glance, and they know you know what
you're talking about, so you don't need to go into details. Your actions speak to
illustrate what you say, so your appearance together says it all.

Mercury in Ninth House

Together you can find your heads in the clouds here, but when you come back down to
earth you'll bring a little bit of the sky with you. By opening your heads to major new
approaches, you put yourselves on an unforeseen track that may be hard to write home
about. How are you going to find the words? But then, that's the point.

Just sitting around enjoying each other's company on a quiet evening may be one of
this place's greatest charms for you. You don't need to go out on the town to have a

You'll likely spend a lot of time together here feathering your nest, as both the

Your innate creativity and problem-solving skills make you in demand here, where you
