S​pecific ​M​easurable ​A​ttainable ​R​ealistic ​T​imely


Remember to be specific with your goals. A specific goal has a much greater chance of being
accomplished than a general goal. To set a specific goal you must answer the six “W” questions:

*Who: Who is involved? *Which: Identify requirements and constraints.


*What: What do I want to accomplish? *Why: Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of
*Where: Identify a location. accomplishing the goal.
*When: Establish a time frame.
EXAMPLE: A general goal would be, “Get in shape.” But a specific goal would say, “Join a
health club and workout 3 days a week.”

1) My ACADEMIC goal is: Not procrastinating and putting more effort into my
work

Three steps I will take to complete this goal are:
a) Do homework as soon as I get home

b) Put my phone away or any other distractions

c)Stay after school if i don’t understand something

2) My LEADERSHIP/SERVICE goal is: More volunteer work

b) Use my spare time on volunteering

future careers)

3) For next semester, my personal goal is: To step out of my comfort zone more
often.
