We went to London on Monday. We went shopping in the morning. We had lunch at
one o'clock.

• We use on with days and dates: on Monday(s) on Friday on 3'd july


• We use in with parts of the day and longer periods of time: months, seasons, years
and centuries:
in the morning in june in the winter in 2007 in the 19th century
• We use at with clock times: at two o'clock at midday at dinnertime
We also say: at night, at the weekend, at Christmas, at Easter, at the moment
• We do not use at, in or on when we use next, last, every, this, yesterday or
tomorrow: next weekend last Monday this winter tomorrow morning
