coca and cola: In 1886 an American pharmacist invented a drink called "French coca

wine, ideal tonic", which he patented as a medicine. Shortly after the alcohol and cola
were added and renamed. Later he replaced the common water with gaseous water.
Later he sold the rights of his patent to a company, which today has a multinational
character. This, in 1903, decided to eliminate cocaine (then in disrepute) but kept the
initial taste by using preparations of coca leaves to which they had previously extracted
the respectful alkaloid. In this way, coca and cola form the basis of a universal
beverage.
The real Coca-Cola is the one that the pharmacist John Styth Pemberton prepared in
the backyard of his house before the paranoia of drugs.

In 1885 he registered his homemade medicine, which at the time contained cocaine
extracted from the coca plant, under the brand name "Frenen Wine Coca -Ideal Nerve
and Tonic Stimulant" (French Wine Coca - Tonic Stimulant and Ideal Nervous). It is
said that his assistant was able to determine the exact composition of a shipment of
syrup just by smelling it. The following year he eliminated the wine, added caffeine and
nut extract to give it flavor and invented the name of Coca-Cola.

The syrup was sold in used beer bottles and was recommended against headaches
and hangovers. Only in the first year, 25 gallons of syrup were sold compared to 100
million bottles a day worldwide in the seventies.

Pemberton sold the business to Asa Candler that turned it into a partnership. Although
Coca-Cola is as symbolic of the United States as the American flag, it is currently
bottled in 128 countries including Bulgaria, where in 1966 the first communist franchise
was granted.

The Coca-Cola house is very aware of your image and if you print the name of the
product with a lower case C prepare to receive a very nice letter of warning from
Atlanta, home of the house. There are people who the official courtesy of the Coca-
Cola house in other situations seems very suspicious.

On several occasions during racial disturbances in the south the house has suffered
boycotts. Even in the northern states there have been boycotts to protest against racial
discrimination in bottling plants.

The current manufacturing and bottling plants are very different from that patio in which
Pemberton stirred his potion with a stick. Quality controls are stricter and only 2 or 3
people know the 7X secret ingredient, even non-secret ingredients are very difficult to
determine. Coca-Cola is still a mixture of three parts of coca (without the drug) and a
part of cola.

The cola nut contains caffeine although most of it is eliminated during the process and
probably more should be added. The Coca-Cola house does not have to include
caffeine in the list of ingredients, although other soft drinks are subject to more
stringent standards for its additive lists.

Putting "artificial colors" may be enough, although not exact. There are experiments
that relate high doses of caffeine to birth defects, but the same applies to coffee,
although the issue is that while many parents do not let their children drink coffee on
the other hand, they do not have any problem in taking large amounts of coffee.
Refreshing drinks. Unless your concern is in another ingredient, sugar, which is the
number one component of these drinks. More than a trace of cocaine, it is sugar that
tends to make Coca-Cola a drink that creates addicts. Eight ounces (a sip for most
Coca-Cola drinkers) contains about five tablespoons of sugar. Then the pancreas
sends so much insulin to the blood to deal with this assault that, ironically, the result is
a drastic drop in the blood sugar level, followed by strong needs for more sugar. The
phosphoric acid contained in Coca-Cola can alter the calcium-phosphorus balance of
the body and can also impede the normal absorption of iron, since it damages the
stomach. The taste of the acid is masked by the high sugar content, and the
combination of sugar and acid is not good for the teeth. Since soft drinks are not
nutritious and can interfere with appetite, protein deficiency is not uncommon among
chronic Coca-Cola drinkers who may suffer the same type of liver disorders as chronic
alcoholics. In other parts of the world, Coca-Cola enjoys a wide variety of reputations.
In such incredible places as Guatemala and West Africa, soft drinks have become the
fundamental element of the diet. In France in 1950 there was an attempt to ban all
queues but this law was later repealed due to strong pressures. In Denmark, Coca-
Cola is heavily taxed. But here, in the US, it is still believed that apart from the fact that
as food is a disaster, our Coca-Cola is the real thing. The formula is a trade secret,
kept in a bank in Atlanta. An urban legend says that only two managers have access to
it.
