Discussion-

Assessing the personality of the individual through ABBPS. According to ABBPS there are
two personality types namely, ‘type A’ and ‘type B’.

Table 1 shows the results of the subject in form A.

In factor one that is Tenseness which measures the sense of time urgency. The
subject has obtained a score of 13 which is interpreted as normal. The subject is not always
struggling to achieve more in less time, enjoys quick meals and likes multitasking. Though on
a normal of comfortable and healthy level.
Factor two Impatience, measures the inability to wait calmly. The subject has
obtained a score of 7 which is interpreted as normal which indicates that it is neither high nor
low. The subject prefers to finish the task at hand on time, and does not rush in.

In factor three that is Restlessness, the inability to feel relaxed while working is
measured. The subject has obtained a score of 7 which is interpreted as normal which
indicates that he/she is in a relaxed state most of the time. Does not feel anxious or restless
and enjoys leisure.

Factor four is Achievement which measures the need to achieve something


worthwhile whenever there is positivity. The subject has obtained a score of 11 which is
interpreted as normal. The subject falls in the average category. The subject doesn’t feel that
competition is their first choice, though they work to be successful and accomplish goals.

In factor five Domineering measures a sense of power over everything. The subject
obtained a score of 6 which is interpreted as normal which indicates that it is neither low nor
high. The subject doesn’t feels that quantity is a measure of success and doesn’t feel the need
to have a control over everything.

In factor six is Workaholic. It measures the tendency of doing something all the time.
The subject has obtained a score of 3 which is interpreted as normal which indicates that it is
neither high nor low. The subject can relax without guilt but may have many interest outside
their work. He/she does not feel the need to be engaged in a task all the time.

Table 2 shows the results of the subject in form B.

In factor one that is Complacent the behaviour of enjoying everything is measured.


The subject obtained a score of 14 which is interpreted as high which indicates that it is
above average. The subject finds it difficult to relax whenever she/he wants. He/she always
remains occupied with some work all the time that they often have to find time to relax.

Factor two is Easy-Going and it measures a sense of ability to work with relaxed
mood. The subject obtained a score of 17 which is interpreted as normal which indicates that
it is neither high nor low. The subject prefers to concentrate on one task at a time and also
she/he welcomes leisure time after the spell of work.
In factor three, Non-Assertive which measures the boldness of the person to have
attention of another person. The subject obtained a score of 6 which is interpreted as normal.
It falls under the average category. The subject feels comfortable with a rate at which most
events takes place. They usually doesn’t display or discuss their achievements unless
demanded by situation and don’t seek authority.

Factor four is Relaxed which measures the tendency to do tasks in comfort. The
subject has obtained a score of 9 which is interpreted as normal which indicates that it is
neither high nor low. The subject enjoys food by making no waste while eating, also does not
usually set deadlines for accomplishments.

In factor five, Patience is measured. It is the ability to wait and work with ease. The
subject has obtained a score of 10 which interpreted as normal which indicates that it falls in
the average level. The subject does not believe in quantity when it comes to success. He/she
is comfortable in expressing emotions when necessary and usually does not feel rushed into
things.

The subject has scored a total of 47 in form A which indicates that it is normal and
has scored a total of 56 in form B which also indicates that it is normal. Therefore the overall
interpretation of the subject is normal. He/she falls in the average category. It indicates that
he/she is neither Type A nor Type B personality but has characteristics of both and has a
mixed personality type.
