Time Alocation : 3 x 45 minute

Standard Competence
1. Understanding the meaning in short fungtional and simple monologue texts
in form: recount, narrative and report in daily life contex and to axess
popular science.
2. To develop learner’s ability to read some texts in English, in context of
analysis the story.

Base Competence
1. To respond the meaning in simple monologue to use the variety of spoken
language as smooth and accurate in form: narrative.
2. To develop learner’s ability to read some texts in English, in context of
analysis the story.
Indicators
1) To develop learner’s ability to find main idea in the texts.
2) To develop learner’s ability to share the experiences.
3) To develop learner’s ability to response information in the story.
4) To develop learner’s ability to produce correct pronounciation from reading the
story.

1. Purposes of Lesson
 The students will be respons the simple monologue texts
narrative.
 To develop learner’s ability to response learner’s ideas
 In the end of lesson learner will have developed their
ability and background knowledge to read and response
topics related to the story.

2. Main Material
The form of narrative text, example:
There was once a little fly that thought he was very important. One sunny morning, he
flew around looking for someone to talk to. He saw a bull grazing in a field. He decided
to fly down to talk to him.

The little fly flew down and buzzed around the bull’s head. The bull did not bother with
him. He went on chewing grass. The fly then buzzed right inside the bull’s ear. The bull
continued chewing grass.

Now the fly decided to land on one of the bull’s horn to make the bull notice him. He
waited for the bull to say something, but the bull kept quiet.
The fly then shouted angrily, “Oh bull, if you find that I am too heavy for you, let me
know and I’ll fly away”.

The bull laughed and said, “Little fly, I don’t care if you stay or leave. You are so tiny
that your weight does not make any difference to me, so please be quiet and leave me
alone!”.
