In the last three days, many fires increased their heat and I feel
grateful for sensing the power of it. I long to keep my fire
burning, hoping it will meet up with others and co-create the
change we want to see in the world.
For initiating this empowering learning opportunity and offering
a place to connect from heart to heart, I like to say THANK YOU
to the team of 'THE ART OF PARTICIPATORY LEADERSHIP

Having attended this three-day seminar on Teacher Induction Program
fromMay 30- June 1, 2011, I would like to
share some of my impressions of thisseminar.First, the seminar was
very well organized in terms of structure, timeframesand contents. From
the start to the end, it went smoothly. The daily programsproceeded as
planned in the schedule. The length of the seminar was just right--
neither too short, nor too long. Most of its contents were precisely
relevant to thetopic of the seminar.Second, all seminar moderators were
tolerant, active and creative. All of them were flexible with time-setting
concerning working group activities. They weremuch involved in
monitoring group work activities. Moreover, they taught us how to
be a facilitator for a group discussion byasking some volunteers to
moderate some discussion sessions during the seminar. They offered
helpful assistance to the participants.Third, I was impressed by the way
group members understood and toleratedeach other during working
group activities. We usually nominated a group leader, apresenter and a
time keeper. We listened to each other and followed the orders of the
leader and time keeper. During the group discussions, all the group
membershad an equal opportunity to express their thoughts and
opinions. I appreciated thegroup activities very much.Fourth, the
accommodation in was excellent. The environment of the locationwas
pleasant, smoke-free, clean and relatively quiet. The weather was nice
andthere were no distractions. Although we had to share the facilities, all
participantsfelt comfortable with one another. The room was quite small
but well-equipped andregularly cleaned. It was indeed very successful
and significant in the fulfillment of our goals.
Everyone enjoyed the job for it widened every teacher’s knowledge and
horizons.
