Product Overview
The M1200T is a 1U Pizza box type Packet Transport Network (PTN) device which sup-
ports fixed 8-port T1/E1 (RJ45) interfaces and 8-port 100/1000Base-T (RJ45) interfaces, 8-
port 100/1000Base-X (SFP) interfaces, and 4-port 1/10GBase-R (SFP+) interfaces

For the Ethernet interfaces at the front side, there are four kinds of interfaces. The first is an
electrical T1/E1, second is an electrical 1GbE, third is an optical 1GbE, and an Optical
10GbE. Also, a fixed 16x optical/electrical 1GbE interface and 4x optical 10GbE are placed
at the front side, so the M1200T can support more usability for network configuration.
Therefore, depending on customer requirements, it can be configured with several Ethernet
configurations.

Operating Status LEDs

The condition of the M1200T can be determined through the use of the LEDs on the front
panel. The LED indicators will provide the status of each interface.

The following table provides the description of all LEDs of M1200T.

RUN Green On The system is starting up to boot.

Blinking The system is running without errors.
Off The switch is not supplied with power.
ERR Red On The system is running with errors.
Off The system is running with no errors.
FAN Green On FANs are in normal operating condition.
Off The system is turned off.
Amber On FANs failed or stopped by CLI command.
Off The system is turned off.
PWR Green On Power is supplied with PWR A and B.
Off Power is not supplied with PWR A and B.
Amber On Power supply A or B failed.
Off Power is not supplied with PWR A and B.

Through the use of the IU’s the M1200T is able to offer a variety of PTN and mobile back-
haul solutions for a wide range of network architectures. In addition, the multiple IU’s make
the M1200T cost effective, gives the provider the opportunity to adapt to the evolving net-
work and meet the bandwidth needs of the users.

M1200T will support the technology and media needed for the different generations of mo-
bile communications (2G, 3G, 4G and LTE). Therefore, the provider has the ability to mi-
grate to an IP/Ethernet mobile platform with traffic management and carrier class reliability.
