STUDENT MATERIALS
QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME A STUDENT PILOT

 MINIMUM AGE IS 16 YEARS OLD. Parents of 16 years old students will be asked to
submit a waiver to CAAP permitting their son or daughter to enroll.

 APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE. However, the


applicant must consider that having a Bachelor's degree will be an advantage
when he/she applies for work in commercial airline companies.

 MUST BE PROFICIENT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE both in written and oral form.

 MUST PASS THE CLASS II CAAP MEDICAL EXAMINATION. This test includes a
Visual Acuity Test, Color & Depth Perception Test, ECG, X-Ray, Drug Test, and
Pure Tone Audiometry Test. PFCPI's liaison may assist the student during his/her
medical examination.

HOW MUCH ARE PILOTS EARNING?

1. Flight Instructor, Simulator Instructor and Ground


Instructor- Be employed in an Aviation or Flight Training
School- Monthly earning is from P 70,000 to P 150,000.
2. Airline Pilot (Captain, First Officer, and Second Officer)-
Earning of P180,000 to P500,000 per month
3. Charter Pilot-(Companies: SkyJet, Lionair, etc.) Basic
earning of P150,000 to P250,000 a month
4. Cargo Pilot- (FedEx): Earning of P180,000 to P300,000 per
month
