Lesson Plan in English

I – Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:

1. To be able to use the positive, comparative and superlative degrees of

adjectives.

2. Be knowledgeable with the rules on using the degrees of comparison of

adjectives.

3. To respond willingly.

4. To answer the teacher’s questions actively.

5. To practice and cooperate with classmates heartily.

6. Complete sentences with the appropriate degrees of comparison of

adjectives.

Activity 1.

1. The class will be divided into two groups for the game “Message Relay”.
2. After playing, the following words will be spelled:
Big Slow Old
Handsome Tall Expensive
Fast Young

4. Let the other students describe them.

VII - Generalization

Use the three degrees of Comparison of Adjectives in making sentences. Use


these adjectives in describing something or someone may it be at the classroom on a
daily teaching and learning experience or in everyday situation in which they can use
these words in the most positive and useful way.
VIII - Evaluation

Provide the correct degree of comparison of adjectives in the parenthesis to


complete the following sentences.

1. Patty is (short) ______ than her brother.

2. The Jones family is (rich) ______ than the Smith family.

3. My room is (clean) _______ than hers.

4. His cell phone is the (expensive) _______ of them all.

5 The sea is (calm) _______.

Write three sentences each using the following adjectives. Be sure to use their
positive, comparative and superlative degrees.
