EQ exercise: Emotions with paper dolls – Cheat Sheet

Lesson Outline

1) Conversation about a basic emotion such as “happy”.

2) Model the construction of the paper dolls. .

3) Encourage students to be creative with their paper Dolls – students


make.

4) Model drawing on one paper doll using the emotion initially discussed.

5) Give the students a list of emotions to draw onto their paper dolls.

6) Discuss one of your completed paper dolls with the class. Have class
present their favourite paper doll.

7) Ask occasional questions of the class about their dolls.

As each student finishes, have them place the paper dolls on a pin board,
wall or other prominent area of the room for a couple of days.

Remember to have each student put their name on the back of their paper
dolls!
