Wasting time on the internet

Internet is a global network, connecting thousands of host servers worldwide. The
United States Department of Defense established it in the beginning of the 1960...
Today, there are now 10 to 20 million people using an Internet comprised of more
than 30,000 networks spread out over 78 nations all over the world. Now the Internet
has become a great electronic gateway that provides instant access to global news
and information. You can search for and find up-to-the-minute stock market activity,
weather reports, music, recipes. But the fact that there is too much information on
the internet that could easily distract us or even give us false information when we
try to do homework or an investigation.

First, social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, snapchat some of the
many that exist are the main reason why millions of people could waste time
watching memes, sharing funny videos, stalking people. People can be addicted to
this social network without knowing it and constantly checking their cell phone until
they accumulate many lost hours.

A second reason by the people waste time on the internet is Youtube. One of the
great platforms to upload funny videos, gameplays or watch your favorite Youtuber.
Where we can find hours and hours of videos of different topics. As a consequence
people waste their time without knowing it with every video and if you have
activated the automatic playlist you could end up seeing something they did not
even have in mind.

Finally, the people waste time is the online videogames. Certainly many of the
games are just for fun and to be competitive but if a person does not limit himself
in the hours to play, he could waste a lot of time .If the people is addicted to
competitive video games can become intolerant and aggressive. That happens
with the famous "rat kids" who are addicted to games like fornite, minecraft, and
league of legends come to give insults and be intolerant to other players.

In conclusion the internet can be a great source of research when doing homework
or an investigation, but if you are not careful you can easily distract and lose a lot
of time with the first visit to facebook, the first video you see on YouTube and the
first minutes of a videogame. But not only that can distract you, because there are
millions of websites that can do the same as those mentioned and is your decision
if you want to only see them for a second and be distracted for hours.
