Obese people
are preventing themselves from living a healthy life and putting themselves at
risk to get sick and having to deal with diseases, it can sometimes be hard for you
to lose weight and would be hard for you to change your diet and you can be a
victim of being obese and others are starting from a childhood obesity which is
bad. If you're obese you have a higher chance of having heart problem which is
caused by fat tissue. Which is dangerous because you can have a heart attack.
But mostly when you are obese it's going to be hard for you to exercise which is
the number one thing you do when you want to be healthy. But being obese and
having all that extra weight it's going to be hard for you to move and exercise to
be healthy and stay fit.
One reason obese people are preventing themselves from living a healthy
life is that they are putting themselves at risk to get sick and having to deal with
diseases.aIn other words, according to a survey from the National Health and
Nutrition Examination states that“approximately 69% of adults are overweight
or obese, with more than 78 million adult Americans considered obese.”In
addition, childhood obesity are heavy too from the same source it states that “
About 17% of American children ages 2 to 19, or 1 in 6, are obese.“Furthermore,
it’s not just the statistic of how many people are affected is the consequences
that people would be facing“ obesity are linked to increased risk of heart disease,
type 2 diabetes (high blood sugar), high blood pressure, certain cancers, and
other chronic conditions.” and “ the NHANES data show that about 16% of these
youth have pre-diabetes. In a recent national study, 58% of children diagnosed
with type 2 diabetes were obese.” Thus, it can be seen that being obese whether
your an adult or a child it can really affect your health.
Not to mention another reason why obese people are preventing
themselves from living a healthy life is that they are not eating the right food
and the right amount of calories they need a day. For example, fast food is not
healthy for you from pathway genomics it states that “Most of the fast food
contains a large amount of sugar, fats and carbs and less minerals and
vitamins.” In addition, food portion now from back then are bigger portion
ProCons states that “The average American restaurant meal portion size is four
times as large as portions in the 1950s and 96% of entrees at chain restaurants
exceed dietary guidelines for fat, sodium, and saturated fat, with some almost
exceeding daily intakes in one meal.”Moreover, about childhood obesity cdc
states that “Obesity now affects 1 in 5 children and adolescents in the United
States.” and then to help the kids is that “A healthy diet follows the 2015-2020
Dietary Guidelines for Americans External that emphasizes eating a variety of
vegetables and fruits, whole grains, a variety of lean protein foods, and low-fat
and fat-free dairy products. It also limits eating foods and beverages with added
sugars, solid fats, or sodium.” For the most part, it can be seen that eating the
right amount of calories and the right portion of food can really affect your diet.
Although this may be true that, weight is just a number it's easy to lose
weight or it's either a “healthy obese”.Yet, it can be contended that it is easy to
avoid it because ProCon states that “Obesity is a preventable risk factor for other
diseases and conditions, and is not a disease itself. “ which means you can
prevent being obese and prevent getting all of this disease they list “coronary
heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, cancers (like
endometrial, breast, and colon), high cholesterol, high levels of triglycerides,
liver and gallbladder disease, incontinence, increased surgical risk, sleep apnea,
respiratory problems (like asthma), osteoarthritis, infertility and other
reproductive complications, complications during pregnancy and birth defects,
and mental health conditions.”Furthermore, some may say it’s a “healthy obese”
because an article noted that “one third of obese people are "healthy obese,"
meaning that despite being significantly overweight they have normal
cholesterol and blood pressure levels, and no sign of diabetes. Obese people tend
to go to the doctor more and have regular checks for other risk factors and
diseases” This demonstrates that yes there’s ways to avoid getting obese we can
prevent it from happening. However, this does not address that you can still
have the chance to deal with sickness if you don’t have a good healthy diet.
Therefore, don’t wait until something is going happen or you know where you
are heading start now and live a healthy life.
All things considered, people that are preventing themselves from living a
healthy lifes are really in risk of getting sick. The evidence suggests that
Lancetmeta-study found that “that even moderate obesity led to an increased
chance of early death: 29.5% for men (compared to 19% for men of normal BMI
weight) and 14.6% for women (compared to 11%). The authors calculated that one
in five premature deaths in North America could be avoided if obese people were
normal BMI weights. The Surgeon General reports an estimated 300,000 deaths
per year may be attributed to obesity. People who are obese have a 50-100%
increased risk of death from all causes.” It is urgent that obesity is really
dangerous for you and can really affect you in a negative way.
