Juanita reached out to you earlier this week and gave you the low-down on the

incredible work our community accomplished last year. Now I’m here asking you
to put your skills to good use right now.

But first, I want to talk a little about how every single person on this team is a
critical piece to the puzzle. (If you’re ready to cut to the chase, click here to

In 2019 the most diverse Congress to have ever taken office was sworn in. We
were proud to have played a pivotal role in this historic election -- activating our
youth-led network to knock on thousands of doors and make thousands of calls
for candidates who were committed to protecting and seeking justice for
immigrants and people of color.
We took out one of Trump’s puppets by electing Josh Harder to Congress in
California. We ended an 11-year Republican stronghold on Greater Houston by
electing Judge Lina Hidalgo in Texas. And we crossed the finish line in New
Mexico with Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham while also making history by
helping elect the first Native American congresswomen with Deb Haaland and
Sharice Davids.

And even after all of this, we’re really only just getting started. But we need
your help. Right now I’m asking you to make the same promise these
incredible candidates did by committing to fight for immigrant and refugee
communities in 2019 and beyond.
