Week Ten – Final production

EDITING

Did you finish your production on Yes I did finish my production on time, it was helpful that I got
time? all my filming done and re-shoots quickly as it allowed me to
have more time to edit.

How did you gain feedback? Was this I sent out a survey to peers and teachers to gain feedback on
process effective/valuable? my production. The feedback I received was positive from
others and from teachers, I also received some negative
feedback which I will still take into consideration, although I
didn’t agree with it I will still keep it in my mind for further
productions.

What have you learned from your I learnt that my target audience enjoyed my production and
feedback? were able to get the narrative straight away related to the
lyrics and the character well. I have also improved a lot in my
work since the start of the unit which has helped me to get
everything done and to a good standard. I also learnt that my
research helped me a lot in showing depression, self-harm and
suicide in my production. Although people didn’t agree with
the genre of my video after explaining to them that pop
genre music video aren’t always happy but are still classed as
pop genre.

How did your work compare to My production compared to professional productions by using
professional productions? code and conventions such as camera angles and lighting to
show the characters facial expressions and how they feel just
by looking at them. It also compared to them by using
costumes to help the audience relate to the character and
fro the character to relate to the lyrics and narrative. It also
compared to them by using makeup to make the video more
realistic and relate to the lyrics more. It also gets the narrative
across in an effective way. It also compared to them by using
colour grading to make it look more attractive and by cutting
to the beat of the lyrics it helps to make it more relatable.
