Apple iphones
You’re in the middle of downtown filled with busy streets and jammed traffic, cars

buzzling all around horns honking left and right, and if that wasn’t hectic enough, you realize

you’re running late to an urgent appointment. Amidst all this chaos, you’re trying to search for

the fastest route on your Apple iPhone, but something doesn’t seem right. For starters, your

finger identification feature has a slower reaction time to your finger -tic-toc- seconds go by as

you fumble to unlock your phone, then you try opening the Google Map app to find the fastest

route, but instead your face to face with your own reflection because your snapchat opened

instead- reminding you that this angle wasn’t your best- finally after wasting time struggling

with these slow minor failures with this phone, you open Google maps. As if all this hectic noise

of downtown and unnecessary fumbling wasn’t enough your Google map app is now acting

really slow and won’t allow you to type in your location- at this point you decide to check the

time and see that the worst has now happen. You’re late. Now you have to call and apologize to

your appointment for being late. All of this unnecessary backtrack was caused by some defect in

this phone, but when did it all start?

Have any of you Apple iPhone users ever experienced anything similar to this? Are you

mad over the fact that your phone is slow? This slowing down of certain features in the Iphone’s

system is not part of your imagination-- at least not according to Apple representatives.

Alejandra Ibarra, an iphone user, has noticed many technical difficulties with her phone.

She’s the owner of an Iphone 6S, and although it's not one of the newest versions out, I asked
about problems she’s been having with her phone. She admits to being frustrated with the

performance of her phone lately recalling the time she was in the midst of using the Snapchat

app when instead of a cute selfie she was left with a blank screen and her phone notifying her it

was restarting. At this point it she says, “ it’s been doing this for the longest of time. I think this

is like the 20th time this happens. It’s just annoying to be honest.” She recounts other failures in

the system explaining that sometimes other apps like youtube crash and then has to reopen the

app. She reassures us that the app is not the problem because she has uninstalled and reinstalled

to see if it would help, but to no avail she saw that the app itself was not the issue. So what was

the issue? Why all these setbacks?

Apple admitted that with the new iphone 8’s and the iphone X now older versions have

been slowing down and to add on people were complaining on having issues with there battery

draining rapidly. Apple has apologized to customers for how it rolled out an update that can slow

down older iPhones. According to the official website and its representatives as of fall they have

received a lot of “feedback from some users who were seeing slower performance in certain

situations.” They explained in the website that the slow performance may be due to iOS

updates, that are supposed to “dynamically manages the maximum performance of some

system components when needed to prevent a shutdown,” but in some cases it causes “longer

launch times for apps and other reductions in performance.” Another element that added to this

issue with the Iphone was in part due to the chemical aging in batteries, particularly the iPhone 6

and iPhone 6s. There have been multiple class action suits filed against Apple for not being

transparent enough about these apparent issues and the effects of the batteries on the overall

performance. Aside from the company’s apology they released a statement on their website
offering users a drop in the “price of an out-of-warranty iPhone battery replacement by $50 —

from $79 to $29.” However, this price will rise back to the original $79 in 2019 continuing to

affect iPhone users, particularly those that can’t afford upgrading their phone every year or two.

As another attempt to solve this issue, Apple continues to offer that in 2018 they will issue an

iOS software update with new features that give users more visibility into the health of their

iPhone’s battery, so they can see for themselves if its condition is affecting performance.” coEnd

with a conclusion. Why was article significant? Try to ALWAYS avoid ending the conclusion

paragraph with a quote.
