procedure:
Flashcards (5 minutes)
Show them to children and say their names in English. Ask children
Pantomime (5 minutes)
Ask children to make a circle. Children, make a circle, sit down. Yes! Well done!
Now, do you know, what do I have? Yes! It is a box. Clever boy! Demonstrate
getting IN the box, sitting ON the box, sitting (or lying) UNDER the box, &
sitting NEXT TO the box. Get rid of the box & pantomime the same actions.
Children will guess, what kind of preposition is it. If you want to make more
competitive, you can ask each children and if he or she answer wrong, then will
be kicked out of the circle.
I.e.: What can you see in the room? What kind of room is this? What colours are
in the room? etc.
After this, children will cut out each picture and place it at the correct place.
Typical board game where children will throw the dice and move according to
the number. Every time they have to choose a card with a picture and say what is
there and include a correct preposition as well. There are also some special
boxes, which involve some special activities.
Feedback:
Maybe additional materials could be created. More different activities, more pair
working , different by song perhaps could be required
