Modbury Special School

ANNUAL OPERATIONAL PLAN

2012

Cameron Wright (Principal)

Context
Modbury Special School has an enrolment of 157 students ranging from Reception to Senior Secondary. All students have an intellectual
disability with a significant number of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). There are also a number of students with physical,
sensory and health related disabilities.

Modbury Special School has classes across 4 sites, all within walking distance of each other. Across the campus specific options for
students with disabilities have been created: the Correa Learning Unit for students with autism with significant sensory needs; a class at
the Modbury South Primary School and; a Pathways Project for Junior and Senior Secondary students at Modbury High School. The
original Modbury Special School site gives students access to purpose built Teaching and Learning spaces, Living Skills, Art and
Gym/Hall facilities.

The development of this plan was informed by a data gathering process involving consultation with the Modbury Special School
Community and recommendations of the Annual Report 2011.
