Script for Alumni Homecoming

Sarinah: Homecoming unites the past and the present. And to look backward for a while is to refresh the eye, to
restore it, and to render it the more fit for its prime function of looking forward.

Ryan: Respected guests, alumnus from every batch, former and new administrators, former and new faculty
members, ladies and gentlemen, good morning and welcome to the 50th Founding Anniversary and 2nd Grand Alumni
Homecoming of St. Isidore Academy.

S: With the theme SIA celebrates 50 years of Academic Excellence that reaches greater heights through Unity.
Today marks another milestone in the history of St. Isidore Academy as we push the boat out on this 50th Founding
Anniversary and 2nd Grand Alumni Homecoming of St. Isidore Academy. To start with today’s celebration, let us all
stand for the singing of hymns to be led by Mrs. Antonette Nugal, Alumna from Class 1995.

R: You may now take your seat. Ladies and gentlemen, let us all listen to the welcome address to be given to us by the
president of SIA Alumni Association, Mr. Wenifredo Auxilio, Alumna from Class 1971.

Speech ....

S: Thank you Mr. Auxilio. Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to,
and today, we are gathered to get back to an institution which stands as our second home. This home didn’t
just build the future for our youth; moreover, she builds our youth for the future.

R: At this point, we will acknowledge every people here as they will introduce by class by the former PaGTA
President, Jose N. Tabada, Alumna from Class 1981.

S: Thank you so much Mr. Tabada. Indeed, it is an overwhelming sight to witness your high school crushes,
your high school sweethearts, your high school best friend and best enemy turned into successful people of
today.

R: (Adlib) And to get fully energized, may I request everyone to stand and join the mass dance to be led by the
recent completers of SIA. Class 2017.

E: Thank you, Sr. and Fr. Without further ado, let us have the Awarding of Certificate of Completion to Gr 10
students to be awarded by Rev. Fr. Christian Calipes and assisted by Sr. Ma. Rosell Q. Ente, DST.

E: Thank you. We are very honoured today to have here with us one of the supportive alumni of this institution.
To inspire us with a message, let us all stand and welcome our guest speaker, Mr. Juanilo G. Orioque.

E: Desire is the key to motivation, but its determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal -
a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek. And today’s Junior high
school completers don’t have the motivation, determination, and commitment only in academics but in extra-
curricular as well. Ladies and gentlemen, the Awarding of Special Academic Awards and Non Academic
Awards for Gr 10 students.

E: In totality, not only the Gr 10 students excel both in academics and extracurricular but also the rest of the
SIA’s studentry. We will have now the Awarding of Academic Achievers, Special Academic Awards and Non
Academic Awards from Gr 7-11 students. First call will be from Gr 11 .......

E: Congratulations, honor students! Indeed, you have shown enough in order to succeed the entire school year.
Now, may I requests the completers to please come forward for the Pledge of Loyalty and Commitment to be
led by Ms. Lizlee Vieh Getigan and to be followed by the singing of Recognition Song and Tribute Song.
