Lesson Title: Famous People
Unit: 7 Topic: Glory Days
and Their Successes
Subject: Native Speaking
Time: 10:30-11:20 (3rd period)
Class: Mathayom 1/8
Semester: Second Academic
Year: 2018-2019`` English
Program

1. Strand: Language for Communication


2. Standard: F1.1: Understanding of and capacity to interpret
what has been heard and read from various
types of media, and ability to express opinions with proper
reasoning.
Indicator: Specify the topic and main idea and answer
questions from listening to and reading
information, dialogues, tales and/or short stories.
3. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, students should be able
to:
a. Recognize the famous people.
b. Determine how famous people became successful.
c. Cite examples on how they can be successful.
4. Concept: Believe and have faith in oneself to be successful.
5. Instruction Activities: Deductive Learning Approach
Warm up
1. The teacher will let the students play a puzzle game
about the famous people. The students will try to
guess their names. After that, the teacher will relate
the game to the main topic.

Presentation
1. The teacher will unlock unfamiliar words that will be
used.
2. Using PowerPoint presentation, the tecaher will show
photos of some famous people and ask students
about how familiar are they with the famous people.
3. The teacher will discuss with the students about the
famous people and how they became successful in
their lives.

Practice
1. After the discussion, the teacher will divide the
students into four or five groups depending on the
number of students in the class.
2. Each group will give 3 reasons on how they will
become successful in their lives.
3. They will write their answers on the paper given by the
teacher.
4. The teacher will give the students 10 minutes to do the
activity.
5. Each group will present their output in front of the
class.

Production
1. The students will cite examples on how they will be
successful in their lives. Brainstorming is the key
strategy for each group in order for them to generate
a number of ideas to help complete three statements
on how to be successful.
Wrap up
1. Some famous people became successful in their lives
despite the challenges that they encountered. We too
can be successful if we will just believe in ourselves
and have faith in our abilities.
