Conditions of Tendering for Works

The contractors are expected to inspect the site before tendering for a work.

Specific rates should be quoted for each iiem of work and tenders not quoted accordingly are liable to be rejected,

Sales tax will be recovered at the prevailing rates for the unaccounted departmental materials supplied to the contractor.

The contractor shall be bound to carry out all the extra items not provided in the tender schedule but found necessary during
the execution of the work. The extra items will be paid at schedule rates without profit plus or minus the propotiorrat6
dilference between probable amount of contract as per accepted tender for the work and estimate amount.

5. Lump sum item will be paid for only as per actuals on labour and materials al scheduled rates plus or minus the percentage
tender ditference but limited to the amount quoted for provided in the estimate whichever is less. The contractor shall 6e
solely responsible for the safety of his labour and other employees engaged on the work to pay compensation if and witen
required as per Workmen's Compensation Act in force.

6 lntending tenderers should produce the latest clearance certificate of agricultural income tax ancl sales tax.

7. All sums found due to the Panchayat under or by virtue ol the contract shall be recovered first from the security lurnished
by the contractor and if the same is insufficient, such deficit amount shall be recoverable in such manner as the Panchayat
may deem fit.

8. The contractor shall take out licence under the Explosive Bules for the time being in force to enable him to manfacture and
possess the quantity of gun power required by him for blasting.

9. lf materials and plants and machinery are supplied to the contractors, they shall be dealt with as per rules prevalant in the
P.W.D regarding such supplies.
