Title of the story: “Together Everyone Achieves More”

This Brigada Eskwela Marks the community of Kalayaan in a continuous

collaboration with San Juan national High School towards the theme itself
“Matatag na Bayan para sa maunlad na Paaralan”.

Its stakeholders remain loyal in achieving the product of its rich culture
of “Bayanihan”. But to build a strong community for a progressive school is the
result of a process built for life.

As early as January of S.Y 2018-2019, the parents, teachers, volunteers

from all ages excitedly look forward to a happy, fruitful maintenance week in
the coming May. This Brigada Eskwela is a culture itself. Everyone in the
community, not only the education stakeholders participate and contribute
time, effort, and resources of all sorts to San Juan National High School-Main.
The partnership that has become a tradition surfaces the essence of
Brigada Eskwela. Once a partner, is a lifetime partner, evidenced by the
numerical increase of volunteers from 1,400 to 1,800, remarkably progressing.

The stakeholders gladly and voluntarily participated in with the spirit of

giving were known to be enterprises and business related groups were not only
from the town of Kalayaan but from nearby districts.
To name the partners in this civic undertakings include the ACTS Computer
College, who initiated the support through Ma’am Jenie Malapaya to receive
the donation for this Brigada . Rural Bank of Magdalena, Incorporated give
their share of support in cash to show that they are one with us in the annual
activity of DepEd schools with the teacher recipient Ma’am Maricar Dela
Pena. Within the community the all year out partners from the Sangguniang
Bayan ng Kalayaan, particularly the Barangay Officials generously share the
blessings of their very own pockets to show they have the same sincere effort
to strengthen ties with SJNHS.
It was CBK,Power company,Ltd.who tops above them all in the pursuit of
improving Kalayaan community through San Juan National High School’s
needs from textbooks, to hardware, to fixtures to construction manpower and
all that. The water drinking facility which is vital for the health of all the learners,
and even the teachers and non-teaching staff who are legitimate users of this
project seem to have been the regular staff enjoying the benefits of what CBK
extends to us, yearly. The usefulness of CCTV became very timely for the
urgency when it pertains to the safety and confidentiality of matters which are
evidently useful anytime of the day. Checking the welfare of learners and
parents, including the residents of Kalayaan in no particular group whatsoever
benefited the free haircutting from the good heart of Dodong’s Barbershop.
The Department of Public Works and Highways donated Davies paints for the
repainting and enhancing walls and grills, giving the campus a clean sparkling
look. Our very own First Laguna Electric Cooperative supported all schools
within the service jurisdiction, and we are fortunate enough to be given, paint,
electric fans and the electrical manpower to fix and repair wiring and
installation and more. They have also added hygiene kits and learners health
needs to assure learners are well groomed.
The office of the Governor of Laguna, Honorable Ramil L. Hernandez channel
their support on time during the peak time of enhancing the school’s building
and facility – check to update the quality of classrooms and confront with the
DRRM of every public school.
Jollibee Foods Corporation generously shared part of their profit earnings to
Brigada Eskwela right here in San Juan National School, and made the ties
stronger showing gladness in supporting us. Even the Manila Teachers did not
miss the height of the school year’s Brigada Eskwela by extending their help in
their own way to value the loyalty of teachers who have been for years are
clients of their lending business.
Fronting the school, the Municipal office never fail to contribute at any time of
the year, not only during the Maintenance Week but in the emergent need
like competitions, transportation provision and a lot more. This is a clear
indication that the Kalayaan Mayor in its seal of good governance garner
several awards from projects to accomplishments and initiative to sustain the
economic need of the town of Kalayaan. More than 15 qualitative awards are
given to the leadership performance, which made San Juan National High
School cope and tie up closely to the standards of regional and national
assessments.
National Bookstore, being the longest existing bookstore and still tough business
among the top 50 corporations will not sit back and watch the show going on
but send us the support they can with all their heart. PLDT, better known as
Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company participated in to this year’s
Brigada Eskwela being a partner in progress making fast access in
communication. But the business does not stop there, they are ready to build
the hopes of the learners in establishing an economically-ready San Juan
National High School.

Philippine National Police being the prompt nearby agency that is visible on
the very first day, becomes part of the BE Parade and serves as ice breaker of
the opening rites. The manpower of PNP men cannot be bargained at
immediate activities closely complying to their duty simultaneously .Porky the
comedian
Cheerfully hand in donation with a grateful heart. Puregold Pagsanjan
contributed cleaning materials, pails, brushes and detergents for use in
comfort rooms and drinking facility. Rein Josef Enterprise, supported the
brigade even at its starting stage of its business, and knowing that its many
returns made the summer business a boost. The Rural Health Dentist Dr. Flores
also gave donation for the BE, proud to have helped the community in her
own little way. The RHU Eye checkup did not let the opportunity to pass without
its contribution too. From the stable appliance shop of Robinsons, their
openness to this kind of undertaking made easy to donate the goods that can
give us.
Samahan ng Kababaihan under Mayor Leni Maranan Adao gave away time,
and effort as they voluntarily made themselves available in the Brigada
days.SM Savemore Santa Cruz also donated some cleaning materials, pails,
basins, and detergents to do a total cleanup of walkways, comfort rooms and
