INTRO Art is being happy and loving what we do and what we know. Art
is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in
human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the
eye through the mind. Art is a tool to explore, develop and
practice creativity as a means to wellness. Even though we are
rich in art and culture, we are isolated from the Art. Public art or
any form of art is not yet an effective element in Tamilnadu
though art is and was evident through sculptures and paintings
in temples. Public art in any media created for, and sited either
temporarily or permanently in public places which will make
considerable and necessary contributions to the well-being of
communities.

BRIEF Introducing an Art consciously or unconsciously in public

people’s life through Architecture and creating an art space
for artists to exhibit, discuss and gather for Art.

To propose an Art complex which has two different zones

modern art zone and public art zone.

To provide a platform for artists, scholars, students, visitors

and public people alike to have an enhanced experience of the
critical role of Art and museums play in the community.

To establish the following ART – BODY – EMOTION –

ARCHITECTURE.
SCOPE

Modern Art zone:

-Museum containing galleries,
-Art restoration,
-Education, Research facilities,
-Offices and theatre.

Public Art zone:

-Public art space,
-Public exhibition space,
-Outdoor performance space,
-Space for sale of art and crafts.

OBJECTIVES
Creating an organic user movement pattern that incorporates public
participation without insignificance from the surrounding.

Conceiving a built form that is inviting as well as portraying

sophistication when it comes to entertaining the regular participants and
to mark the skyline of the area.
