The most important figures of

the Word Bearers Legion are
their Dark Apostles. The Dark
Council that leads the XVIIth
Legion are all Apostles, and
each Host counts at least one
amongst its number.

More so than any others, the

Dark Apostles of the Word
Bearers are possessed of an
infectious charisma, their
fanaticism inspiring those
around them to acts of
righteous slaughter in the
name of the Gods of the Warp.

It is at the behest of a Dark

Apostle that a Host will march
to holy war. He leads the
warriors under his command
in sonorous chants and
prayers as they meet their
foes, together as one
imploring their Dark Patrons
to bless them for their
devotion.
