2016 NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT SUMMER CAMP

OF THE PHILIPPINE SOCIETY OF YOUTH SCIENCE CLUBS

The Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs (PSYSC) will conduct the 2016
National Youth Science, Technology and Environment Summer Camp (NYSTESC) with the
theme Retrovive: Amplifying the Echoes of Time from July 22 to 25, 2016 at the D’Leonor
Inland Resort and Adventure Park in Cabantian, Buhangin District, Davao City.

The Camp aims to:

1. spark the interest and awareness of the participants on the physics of

sound through lectures and interactive workshops;
2. develop their interpersonal skills through interactions with students
from different regions and backgrounds; and
3. instill among them the values of teamwork, unity, friendship and healthy
competition through team-oriented and fun-filled workshops and
quizzes.

The target participants are high school science club students and teacher-advisers
from both public and private schools nationwide.

The deadline for submission of registration forms and list of participants per school
is on June 17, 2016. Late submissions will be entertained, but these participants will not
be eligible to avail of PSYSC’s travel insurance.

Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-
disruption of classes policy stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting
Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuing Compliance Therewith.
